He experiences midge, blue winged olive and sedge hatches and manages to tempt a few willing brown trout before losing the light. Brilliant video I really enjoyed. Just you back from my local river in south wakes, there was a cracking evening rise and I managed to land 3 nice wildys.. what bag is it you go mate?

Cracking vid, thanks for posting. I fished Westfair last year and hope to get back again soon. Would you say what gear/line/leader etc set up you used please - it would be very helpful to make my next trip there more successful.

Hi there, so glad you enjoyed it! I was fishing with Hardy Zephrus 9’9” 4# Ultralite, Hardy MTX-S 3/4/5, Hardy 4# Horizon taper, a 9’ tapered leader with an additional length of 4’ of so down to a 3lbs point, then flies, size 18 black CDC split wing, and then the Fulling Mill high Rider CDC Sedge in Brown....

@@AardvarkMcLeodFlyFishing that's a darn long pole for such a stream? I would have gone default 8ft - but maybe persepctive from video is different. Great video btw - especially if you were on your lonesome!
