A WFPB diet with other healthy lifestyle choices helped reverse my crippling spinal arthritis. Now I feel and look better than ever and my family is all on board with me! Thanks PBN for all your content 😄🙏🏼🍎🥦🍠
Arthritis to Athlete That’s an awesome result. In the morning I’m taking an elderly family member (poor diet, omnivorous) to get a cortisone injection for arthritic pain.
I'm surprised no one mentioned burritos. I love having home made burritos with lentils, tofu, rice, tons of tomato, avocado and lettuce/spinach. I like to add a little vegennaise as well.
I like to meal prep and freeze things. Then I just pull them out in morning and they're good to go by lunch. Burritos with fresh fruit is one of my favorite lunches.
Yep. I mix the filling all together in a large bowl, fix like a dozen burritos, wrap each in foil, label them and pop them in the freezer. I'd recommend a somewhat dry filling that clumps together well. Easier to fix and less likely to make the tortilla fall apart when thawed.
BTW, I love pant based news! I wish I had known in my 20's that meat causes artery blockages. My parents-in-law both died from heart disease. I adored them and felt very sad to lose them in their late 50's! Just think how Happy the animals would be!!!! Plant foods provide all we need except B12. And that is a supplement thats not expensive.
@@phoconti6715 no it is not false. Plants you eat are cultivated and do not exist in nature without man. They are heavily sprayed with pesticides and are full of indigestible fiber and anti-nutrients. I was a vegan who ate an array of plants; leafy greens, nuts, seeds, grains, fruit, herbs, beans ect to name a few and it fucked my health.
Usually for work, I will make any of the following: peanut butter and jelly sandwich with banana, rice with sweet potatoes, a corn bean salad with greens and other vegetables, a hummus sandwich with cucumbers, a homemade muffin, and usually a piece of fruit like a banana or apple.
I love my salad it's cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, mango, raisins, flaxseed, chia seed, pepper, salt and lemon juice. Sooooo good and filling. I love it with a glass of oat milk, oh baby! For a snack I love my gluten free wheat free sprouted grain bread with peanut butter and banana slices with a glass of oat milk mmm.
Frozen grapes are delicious too. They're the absolute best when you rinse them and then freeze them straight away (the little bit of water freezes on the skin) for a bit so the center isn't totally froze it's like those boba things/gusher lol So good!

Oven fries. Takes 45 minutes and I make my own ketchup that doesn't have any sugar or salt. And I add a little squirt or sriracha sauce to my blob of ketchup.
How do you make your own ketchup? Your recipe sounds seriously tempting I might just have to give it a try. I'm also curious how you prepare your potatoes.

A salad with just veggies is not a good meal. It's not going to be satisfying and you're going to be tempted to eat junk food. Even if you add some tofu to it, tofu is low cal, and not enough carbs. This is why people go vegan and then go back to eating animals. You need carbs people!! Just add some starch to those veggies -- eg, whole grains, potato, sweet potato, beans, whole grain bread. That's a meal. Anyway, who has time to eat a giant salad at lunch? It takes too much chewing. Better for dinner.
@@swissladydriver8980 Yes, absolutely. I just never would feel full and satisfied when I tried to eat high carb, low fat vegan. Try to add plant based foods, instead of taking away junk food. So if you're craving a cupcake, eat a banana or a few medjool dates and THEN have your cupcake. If you want to eat a pizza, have the pizza, but AFTER eating a colourful salad with beans, dark leafy greans, etc. I find the reason most people keep craving and bingeing junk food is because it's high in calories but low in nutrition, so you crave more but you're not getting the nutrients you need to satisfy the cravings. So eat something healthy before you indulge in something more junky and you'll find your cravings will lessen after a few days, where you won't be craving anything and you'll have to remind yourself to eat 😊❤️
In The Starch Solution, Dr McDougall suggests instead of trying to replace things, try adding whole starches to your diet... Which will fill you up so you won't be able to eat as much junk.
