- The Pokemon games are filled with ways to make you rage, from critical hits, confusion, flinches and more. RNG often won't be in your favour and in a Nuzlocke that can mean the difference between living an attack or losing your favourite team member! Here's a compilation/montage of some of the worst hax i've experienced during my Pokemon Nuzlockes! Share your worst hax stories in the comments!

This is why I love pokémon because the RNG makes it to where even the most competitive player can lose.

nice touch putting the episodes they happened in in the bottom corner. also 75 accuracy yh its gonna at least miss 3 times if u use it constantly so i dont understand the rage

I never thought I'd be so amused by someone repeating DOUBLE SLAP!!!!
0:18 Kangaskhan got a crit with dizzy punch (~4.167%), got the confusion effect (20%), and got Herb to hit itself (33%). This equates to a chance of approximately ~0.278% for all of this to happen. Very unlucky.
Out of the staggering amount of RPGs I play, Pokemon is the only one that I'll actually crunch numbers for, because the RNG is absolutely bonkers. After years of doing so, I'm positive that Game Freak skewed numbers in the AI's favor across the board, which has interesting stacking properties that lead into situations like this. In this case, this scenario should only be repeatable 3 times out of 1000, but I can almost guarantee that it would consistently happen at least 4x that often, based on what I've seen.

When I was battling the Frontier Brain Palmer’s Dragonite, my Magnezone got paralyzed and was unable to move the entire time while Palmer’s Dragonite kept hitting it with Dragon Claw.

I felt bad for Pat for most of this, but couldn’t help but be amused at a Golem critting a Gallade with a normal type move that wasn’t very effective. Especially since the move one-shifted at full health

Nuzzloke is stupid! I never got why people did that.
Gets you invested in your team and makes you scared of losing. They also have a factor of spontaneity that some people like. That said, Nuzlocke runs are typically ruined by bad RNG and not lack of skill, so I see where you're coming from.

@@RAC00NFANGIRL I did a hardcore Nuzlocke run on Crystal, which wasn't bad at all, but Emerald was a completely different story. I had nothing to deal with Marshtomp, and my run ended squarely at the rival battle under cycling road. May straight swept me with Muddy Water, or whatever it was called. I realized that only using the first Pokemon on each route was a godawful way to play the game, but having to release, re-catch, and re-train fainted Pokemon is still valid. Makes you really careful.

@@RAC00NFANGIRL I don't blame you. As someone who literally just got OHKO'd by horn drill (I actually was recording so it should be up on TH-cam shortly), I can safely say the Pokemon games weren't made to be fair or balanced, so hardcore Nuzlockes are really only for people who enjoy being tortured.

me who only get confused in a pokemon game during simple puzzles or when i make stupid desicions like putting a water type fighting and eletric type during a double battle to get rid of the fire type.

I don't think there's a single soul on the planet who, after playing any pokemon game, would say "yes, this RNG is completely fair and balanced, and should absolutely remain as is in perpetuity." People have been pleading with Game Freak for YEARS now to tone down their bullshit, but for some reason they still think it's ok to slap their paying customers in the face with an AI that blatantly cheats. No other game franchise does this anymore because arcades are a dying breed. The sheer disrespect for the player's time is one of the main reasons I pirate their games, and literally no one else's.

That's how I felt during my Alpha Sapphire Randomizer
I once had to hax waston in hard emerald(A much hard version of the game) by switching back and forth between my wartortorle and Ivasaur with sleep and leach seed on his magaton and it was a nuslocke and they where the only mon's I have left alive cause he killed every thing else I had at the time Pokemon is a skill based game.
That's not hax, that's a stalling strategy. Hax would be missing leech seed or sleep every time.
Literally, just get better Patterrz.
