Looks really great. Where can this beauty be seen? All I ever wanted as a kid was to see a real German panzer. Never got over it. I’m still the same kid at 64 years old.
This one is not officially on display anywhere. It is privately owned in Colorado. Nothing is impossible, they do accept volunteers. We have another 5 Panzer IV episodes over the next 5 weeks coming out. Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel.
Awesome restoration work !. Although those type 7 track links are rarely seen used on Panzer 4 tank, but it's a good idea to use them on Mid- Late heavier tank chassis !. 😊👍
The Panzer III did, in fact, get more armor and a 50mm short, then later, a 50mm long barreled gun. The Mk. IIIN got a short barreled 75mm gun before the design was actually tapped out. The Mk. III also served throughout the war.
Great feedback. Panzer III unfortunately a little harder to find and build in this day and age. We may never get the chance to study one this closely like we did on this Panzer IV.
Actually the best German tank of ww2, was the Stug3 hands down, one of the best Russian tank killers. If the Germans had manufactured 20 times the stug 3s, they would have in better shape. This is my opinion.
My father was a wehrmacht soldier under command of General mayor Rodt of the 5.panzerdivision.he served in Italy and the Ardennes and final at the Ruhrkessel. They surrenderd to British troops. Their panzerswere Panzers IV. They were in service till the last days. My father was radio operator. He passed the way 2019 at the age of 96. 😢Rip. Papa. I miss you.
Oh wow, you most definitely have a connection to this vehicle. We are honored to have you part of our channel. Thankyou for watching. Welcome to the channel.
Unfortunately no. This tank was built to be a runner and enjoy, let people drive and rent to films. The quarter million dollar Maybach is not good for that. It's a US engine with the same bore and stroke so it sounds identical. We have 5 more episodes coming out over the next 5 weeks. One of those is a very detailed interior episode. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
If I remember correctly the last episode of the series talking about the restoration where we discuss the engine. Randy has been around original running P4's and knows their sound. He wanted to come as close as possible so he even used original exhaust mostly. It's a GMC V12 Petrol engine I belive so the sound is nearly identical. A diesel would be a fantastic choice but the sound would be vastly different.
It's a beautiful tank. We do talk about the engine specifically in another episode coming soon. It's not the original but repower to an engine to the exact same bore and stroke, with the original mufflers so it sounds the same.
Regarding the massively destroyed Panzer IV and III wrecks in videos and pictures, one should not forget that this could have been caused by the crew. A de facto self-destruction by the crew. Panzer III and VI were easier to evacuate from the combat area than Panzer V and VI. Simply because of the weight.
Great observation and very possible yes. This is episode 1 of 6 coming out over the next few weeks. Keep watching for more. Thankyou for supporting the channel.
Happened to just about all tanks in WW2 because often crews would keep shooting at enemy tanks until they caught fire, thus rendering them unrecoverable.
@@TheSaturnV They were not shot at until they caught fire, but were shot at with phosphorus grenades and caught fire due to the release of the phosphorus. This was used, for example, on difficult-to-destroy tanks in WWII, such as the French B1 and B2 or the British Matilda.
Zim was mostly applied in the field buy young men with brief instructions. It could be applied in many different patterns or forms. Some to thick some to thin. The same can be said for the camouflage scheme.

Same! I’ve never seen a panzer in person in my life 😮

A bunch of the III’s became StuGs.
This is how you imagine the land of unlimited opportunities. Thank you USA, United States of America...! I congratulate you on this wonderful project.
Yes very fortunate we have to opportunity to preserve history at this level here.

Panzer 4type H is one of the most favorite panzers in German army.
Excellent! Glad you found our video. There is 5 more Panzer Episodes coming out in the coming weeks.
The German Sherman!
so might call him Hermann the German Sherman
Oh that’s a good one! 😅
Like to see it with the side armor installed
Maby one day. Randy wanted all the detail to show that's under the plate.
Only real fault was it's older approach to armour profiling.
Certainly one of the most sensible German designs of the war.
Great observation. Keep watching the series, we talk more on that and why it went that way.

🛵 Even though they're no longer needed, this thing would look great with extra tracks all over the front and a side skirt or two.
Maby one day soon for a movie or a show it will get all the kit on!
it wasnt the workhorse
the stug was the ultimate giga chad tank
So is the engine original? Would love to see more of the interior.

@@MilitaryArmamentsCompany Actually, that’s a much better solution. Put a reliable diesel in it with modern EFI and more power!

Nice restoration sounds like an original engine or not?

Where are they?
They are in Colorado. America.

The zimeret looks to thick not authentic .
How thick was the Zimeret you put on your German Armour? How did you apply it?
