i too received him it felt like i had jesuse lungs as i stopped smoking all anxiety left me all confusion left me after i repent my sins this was so powerful i felt like jesus was here in the apt with me it was cleansing and comforting to have the fire of God in me with glority him by singing and reading the Bible and going to bible study all the time I need Him to guide my life by faith by renewing our mind as well Thus ius a new life i was baptised soon after may 14th then new start went on tp of the mountain with Jesus at this point and then in the valley so we can reap and produce fruit by faith in the name of Jesus Alleluia i dont speak in tongnes yet only two words and continue to grow in the Lord and walk with Jesus
Brother thank you for your testimony. I just got home after two attempts at receiving the Holy Ghost. Both attempts were earlier today at Sunday morning service and again at an evening service. I am aiming to become a deacon at my church and I want to be filled with the Holy Ghost before I am ordained. This video has given me the encouragement to keep pursuing Him. Thank you brother.
when you repent of your sins, and you confess that Jesus is your Lord, he will fill you with the Holy Ghost, you don't have to be baptized by the water to recieve the Holy Ghost, because the water doesn't save you, Jesus does.

Mine experience was similar. My wife and son got it right away . After I was water baptized In Jesus name it took me i6 months of praying to receive the real Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. I went to churches which didn't believe in it for years. switched to a black holy roller tongue talking church. My whole life was changed. The supernatural becomes a natural way of living.

I experienced to be possessed by the Holy Spirit twice, whatever it was I know from my heart it was the Holy Spirit! Because I was praying sincerely and fully dependent on GOD at that time around 4 in the morning. When I was at the verge of my prayer the word/s coming out from my mouth suddenly kept on repeating and it became faster and faster I was aware I was speaking that way but I have no control over my body. And then a sudden flash came in before my eyes and I realized I was not speaking from my mind but from my soul and spirit like I don't have to think a word to say that my mouth kept on speaking and speaking from what my spirit has to say.What amazes me experiencing the Holy Spirit was my physical body being thrown around like I was being swayed by the wind until I completely laid on the floor, I was keeping on praising our GOD, thanking HIM, confessing and admitting my sins to forgive me. I felt my spirit was crying because of so much joy and longingly to be in the presence of GOD like I was ready to get there in heaven.
Pray for me that God increases my faith and I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have been struggling with fear lately and I feel something is missing in my life.

Most glorious indescribable feeling ever I had a similar experience where I was trying to speak in English but it seemed like I could not...yet if I really tried I could...but I didn't want to It bubbled up from the inside and spilled out in waves. The frustrating thing is that its so difficult to explain it.

You will speak in tongues when the anointing falls on you. He the Holy Spirit will fill you with his power and we take over your body and tongue. Without the power of the Holy Spirit the devil will easily discourage us from seeking God the Father. Stay motivated and seek his anointing power. Read the word of God every day and pray even if you don’t know how. I know how importance raising my hand high in the air is to praise Jesus, and being in his presence and ficusing on him. Don't be discouraged. Matthew 7:7-8
And you will. The simplest question is, "If you really want it?" Often while seeking/ tarrying, we convince ourselves that we'll never get it, or we'll try again later on in life. It's during that time when you are the closest to receiving, and the enemy knows it. Keep pushing. I remember a week before receiving, I was tarrying at home on my floor with praise and worship music on, and there came a point when I heard my tongues in my ear while I was still saying, "yes lord.....Jesus, Jesus,...." and it scared me because I knew something was happening so I stopped. It wasn't until the following week, I felt that same feeling, and spoke what I heard, that I received it. You've got to go for broke with this, and give yourself up. It's hard to understand now, but I promise once you receive it, this will all make perfect sense.

@Daniella Djoumna hi:) this was something I earnestly sought after. I knew that I would not be satisfied until I received the Holy Spirit Baptism. I received by FAITH. That’s the key! “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 KJV) So, after fasting and praying, I opened my mouth to speak, but a heavenly language came out instead! And not only that, but I felt so much JOY and LOVE!!! I really can’t describe everything. Words cannot fully describe the baptism of the holy spirit. But it is definitely an INCREDIBLE experience! And guess what?! It’s not just a one time event :) I learned that you can be continuously filled with the Holy Spirit. May God bless you!!

It was this doctrine that made Pentecostalism distinct from other holiness Christian groups that spoke in tongues or believed in an experience subsequent to salvation and sanctification. Several African Americans were influenced heavily by Parham's ministry there, including William J. Seymour. Both Parham and Seymour preached to Houston's African Americans, and Parham had planned to send Seymour out to preach to the black communities throughout Texas. In September he also ventured to Zion, IL, in an effort to win over the adherents of the discredited John Alexander Dowie, although he left for good after the municipal water tower collapsed and destroyed his preaching tent. For about a year he had a following of several hundred "Parhamites", eventually led by John G Lake. Ok I have not listened to this whole video, I'm at 7:53 and I just want to pause and say... its amazing how ppl can make you so confused about God. I received my baptism in the Holy Ghost and " NEVER TARRIED" for anything! And neither did my dad. And as far as the mothers of the church telling you " Oh if you just believe God he's coming .. etc. When I was repenting for my sins ... (before the Holy Ghost came) While I was confessing I remember saying " God please save my soul." My dad who was kneeling next to me put his hand on my shoulder and said " You don't have to beg." So I kept praying.. after I had told God every thing I wanted to say I was getting ready to ask my dad " Deddy am I saved?" But when I lifted my head up... that's when the spirit hit me. What did the apostles do before receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? Not everyone will be the same, some wait, some just get Him before even asking, some get Him fast after praying, some have to wait more... God has different ways to deal with us... God Bless you!

One day I almost received it I was in church singing in the choir and all of a sudden something came up on me it started from my head and was gradually coming down to my body by the time it hit my throat earlier I was so scared of what was about to happen that I clinched it and it went away but I'm sure it was the Holy Spirit descending on me wonder if I'll ever receive it again
You receive the HolyGhost when you get really desperate for Him. its not an it its the Spirit of God himself. with that understanding you'll push with all your heart letting go of evrything else. He cant ignore faith.
That's not how you receive the Holy Ghost, that's how you receive demon spirits by ritual and repetition. You receive the Holy Ghost by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Today we are saved by grace through faith, not ritual and rite. The Holy Spirit protects you when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Shepard. Through the Blood of Jesus we are saved and baptized.
Don't get discouraged. Honestly it took me about 5 years off and on to receive. Some people receive in days and weeks, but once I decided that I was going to push forward to receiving the Holy Ghost, it took me about 3 weeks. It takes you long because there's something in your life that you are holding on to, and you know that God is telling you that you must give it up. Think of it this way, the Holy Spirit is water, you are a 16oz glass, and the sin in your life are ice cubes. If your glass is full of ice cubes, or even 1 ice cube, then there's not enough room for the Holy Spirit to dwell. Pray, fast, and ask God to help you release anything that you may be holding on to.
Can one still be saved without being baptised with th Holy Gost? I believe in Jesus and that He died for me and i feel led by the Holy Gost, but I didnt get baptised in the way that you did...

You are saved the moment u asked God to come into your heart, forgive u of your sins, and be your Lord and Savior. if u believe in the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit then u are saved. You actually recieve the Holy Spirit the moment u ask...the BAPTISM of the Holy spirit comes later. it is separate. it can happen at the same time but most of the time it will come later after u have specifically prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It was Years for me too. It took me about 5 years and that was of course off and on. I was going through phases and changes in my life. You're so close. God wouldn't lay this so heavy on your heart if He didn't plan to fill you. Keep pushing...

His Spirit...he sends the Comforter in His Place... going after this Extra Baptism... obsessing about it, seems distracting to your Walk if it doesn’t manifest in a timely manner. Seems rather myopic... self centered... bordering on Another New Agey-Like Experience
Mark Bey Please don't call this an extra baptism. Remember Jesus says we need to be born of water and the Spirit. I'm shocked that you aren't eager to receive this gift. Speaking in tongues helps you to be really intimate with God. Remember Paul said "I wish you all speak in tongues..." 1 Corinthians 14:5. I hope you decide to seek God for this gift and grow stronger in your relationship with Him :)
Awesome! Wow! ... you know I hear you ... but I love getting in the Word... having a personal relationship with God... the Abiding, Communion and Fellowship. All those experiences where within a certain time, season and Context... I have enough on my plate to Master with just the basics I’ve been given...If I’m led to this ... additional experience... then so be it... but it’s not a nagging desire at the moment.

Sandra Otero I feel that every time I speak in tongues, but not even just then, but when I’m at my most vulnerable state with God. When I praise and Worship or just have my devotional time, it says, “God I’m open a available to what you have for me. Shape me, mold me into who You have designed me to become. I’m available for Your use” It’s important that we operate in the gifts of the spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to move through us. To answer your question, yes I do feel that now. In good times, & bad times. It’s a consistent reminder that nothing will ever separate us from Gods love (Romans 8:30-39) and that’s He’s always there with us no matter what (Deut 31:6). I’m not perfect, nor is the next Christian, but I’m pressing through my imperfections and be all that God has made me to be.

Now you need to seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. When He the Holy Spirit fill you with his anointing power it will strengthen your faith in Christ. Now the evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is when you speak in tongues according to (Acts chapter 2.). You cannot force speaking in tongues or try to copy or mimic someone words. You will speak in tongues when the anointing falls on you. He the Holy Spirit will fill you with his power and we take over your body and tongue. You will not be able to control your body when the power or anointing comes down over you. It’s will change your life to be a real soldier for Christ. Without the power of the Holy Spirit the devil will easily discourage us from seeking God the Father. Stay motivated and seek his anointing power.
Read the word of God every day and pray even if you don’t know how. Practice your faith in your daily life and takes little steps day by day, until you start getting more spiritual and less carnal minded. I hope this help you.

And you will. The simplest question is, "If you really want it?" Often while seeking/ tarrying, we convince ourselves that we'll never get it, or we'll try again later on in life. It's during that time when you are the closest to receiving, and the enemy knows it. Keep pushing.
I remember a week before receiving, I was tarrying at home on my floor with praise and worship music on, and there came a point when I heard my tongues in my ear while I was still saying, "yes lord.....Jesus, Jesus,...." and it scared me because I knew something was happening so I stopped. It wasn't until the following week, I felt that same feeling, and spoke what I heard, that I received it. You've got to go for broke with this, and give yourself up. It's hard to understand now, but I promise once you receive it, this will all make perfect sense.

@Daniella Djoumna hi:) this was something I earnestly sought after. I knew that I would not be satisfied until I received the Holy Spirit Baptism. I received by FAITH. That’s the key! “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 KJV) So, after fasting and praying, I opened my mouth to speak, but a heavenly language came out instead! And not only that, but I felt so much JOY and LOVE!!! I really can’t describe everything. Words cannot fully describe the baptism of the holy spirit. But it is definitely an INCREDIBLE experience! And guess what?! It’s not just a one time event :) I learned that you can be continuously filled with the Holy Spirit. May God bless you!!

1901 Charles F. Parham originated the doctrine of initial evidence that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues. It was this doctrine that made Pentecostalism distinct from other holiness Christian groups that spoke in tongues or believed in an experience subsequent to salvation and sanctification. During 1906 Parham began working on a number of fronts. In Houston, Parham's ministry included conducting a Bible school around 1906. Several African Americans were influenced heavily by Parham's ministry there, including William J. Seymour. Both Parham and Seymour preached to Houston's African Americans, and Parham had planned to send Seymour out to preach to the black communities throughout Texas. In September he also ventured to Zion, IL, in an effort to win over the adherents of the discredited John Alexander Dowie, although he left for good after the municipal water tower collapsed and destroyed his preaching tent. For about a year he had a following of several hundred "Parhamites", eventually led by John G Lake. In 1906 however, Charles Parham sent, with funds, a black woman, Lucy Farrow, (a cook at his Houston school, who had received "the Spirit's Baptism" and felt "a burden for Los Angeles"), to Los Angeles, California, and a few months later sent Seymour, with funds from the school, to join Farrow in the work in Los Angeles, California;. Seymour's work in Los Angeles would eventually develop into the Azusa Street Revival, which is considered by many as the birthplace of the Pentecostal movement.
Long before Brain Carn was pushing this speaking in tongues doctrine in the black community, William J. Seymour requested and received a license as a minister of Parham's Apostolic Faith Movement, and he initially considered his work in Los Angeles under Parham's authority. However, Seymour soon broke with Parham over his harsh criticism of the emotional worship at Asuza Street and the intermingling of whites and blacks in the services. This, and his support of British Israelism, has often led people to consider him as a racist He also believed in British Israelism, an ideology maintaining that the Anglo-Saxon peoples were the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. In addition, Parham subscribed to rather unorthodox views on creation. He believed God took two days to create humans-non-whites on the sixth day and whites on the eighth. Ok I have not listened to this whole video, I'm at 7:53 and I just want to pause and say... its amazing how ppl can make you so confused about God. I received my baptism in the Holy Ghost and " NEVER TARRIED" for anything! And neither did my dad. And as far as the mothers of the church telling you " Oh if you just believe God he's coming .. etc. When I was repenting for my sins ... (before the Holy Ghost came)
While I was confessing I remember saying " God please save my soul." My dad who was kneeling next to me put his hand on my shoulder and said " You don't have to beg."
So I kept praying.. after I had told God every thing I wanted to say I was getting ready to ask my dad " Deddy am I saved?" But when I lifted my head up... that's when the spirit hit me.

What did the apostles do before receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? Not everyone will be the same, some wait, some just get Him before even asking, some get Him fast after praying, some have to wait more... God has different ways to deal with us... God Bless you!

One day I almost received it I was in church singing in the choir and all of a sudden something came up on me it started from my head and was gradually coming down to my body by the time it hit my throat earlier I was so scared of what was about to happen that I clinched it and it went away but I'm sure it was the Holy Spirit descending on me wonder if I'll ever receive it again
You receive the HolyGhost when you get really desperate for Him. its not an it its the Spirit of God himself. with that understanding you'll push with all your heart letting go of evrything else. He cant ignore faith.

That's not how you receive the Holy Ghost, that's how you receive demon spirits by ritual and repetition. You receive the Holy Ghost by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Today we are saved by grace through faith, not ritual and rite. The Holy Spirit protects you when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Shepard. Through the Blood of Jesus we are saved and baptized.

It's been a year since I began my pursuit of this. Why do you think it can take so long sometimes?
The only reason it can take long is because of you holding back with your pride and unbelief
Don't get discouraged. Honestly it took me about 5 years off and on to receive. Some people receive in days and weeks, but once I decided that I was going to push forward to receiving the Holy Ghost, it took me about 3 weeks.
It takes you long because there's something in your life that you are holding on to, and you know that God is telling you that you must give it up. Think of it this way, the Holy Spirit is water, you are a 16oz glass, and the sin in your life are ice cubes. If your glass is full of ice cubes, or even 1 ice cube, then there's not enough room for the Holy Spirit to dwell. Pray, fast, and ask God to help you release anything that you may be holding on to.
Can one still be saved without being baptised with th Holy Gost?
I believe in Jesus and that He died for me and i feel led by the Holy Gost, but I didnt get baptised in the way that you did...

You are saved the moment u asked God to come into your heart, forgive u of your sins, and be your Lord and Savior. if u believe in the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit then u are saved. You actually recieve the Holy Spirit the moment u ask...the BAPTISM of the Holy spirit comes later. it is separate. it can happen at the same time but most of the time it will come later after u have specifically prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It was Years for me too. It took me about 5 years and that was of course off and on. I was going through phases and changes in my life. You're so close. God wouldn't lay this so heavy on your heart if He didn't plan to fill you. Keep pushing...

None spoke Charles F. Parham Glossolalia. Proven fact, all the Israelite's that was scattered in Deu 28:64/ Gen 10:5 that came from the locations in Acts 2:9-11. The miracle was the restore the scattered Israelite under one language from Gen 11:7...Deu 30:2-3 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

Awesome! Wow! ... There’s a disconnect for me... if you accept Jesus Christ into your Life...It’s not just a name ... Your Accepting Him... His Spirit...he sends the Comforter in His Place... going after this Extra Baptism... obsessing about it, seems distracting to your Walk if it doesn’t manifest in a timely manner.

Mark Bey Please don't call this an extra baptism. Remember Jesus says we need to be born of water and the Spirit. I'm shocked that you aren't eager to receive this gift. Speaking in tongues helps you to be really intimate with God. Remember Paul said "I wish you all speak in tongues..." 1 Corinthians 14:5. I hope you decide to seek God for this gift and grow stronger in your relationship with Him :)
Awesome! Wow! ... you know I hear you ... but I love getting in the Word... having a personal relationship with God... the Abiding, Communion and Fellowship. All those experiences where within a certain time, season and Context... I have enough on my plate to Master with just the basics I’ve been given...If I’m led to this ... additional experience... then so be it... but it’s not a nagging desire at the moment.

Sandra Otero I feel that every time I speak in tongues, but not even just then, but when I’m at my most vulnerable state with God. When I praise and Worship or just have my devotional time, it says, “God I’m open a available to what you have for me. Shape me, mold me into who You have designed me to become. I’m available for Your use” It’s important that we operate in the gifts of the spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to move through us.
To answer your question, yes I do feel that now. In good times, & bad times. It’s a consistent reminder that nothing will ever separate us from Gods love (Romans 8:30-39) and that’s He’s always there with us no matter what (Deut 31:6). I’m not perfect, nor is the next Christian, but I’m pressing through my imperfections and be all that God has made me to be.
