A back up vehicle that runs in snow and can haul things in the back makes sense. Ultimately it will end up saving the day in some future situation. :)

This goes to Nikki John did not buy a new truck he bought a used truck there is a difference. It's not like he spent 45k to 60k for a brand new truck. He may only have spent six to seven thousand for it .

@@Had22s 50% goes to taxes plus youtube takes a cut of that and you dont know what their current lifestyle cost either. its not cheap to buy a house and to pay taxes on that. and what their monthly bills are plus they have a child and i bet these two adults put money to the side for her also. its not cheap being an adult

Sooo... I think that big decisions such as buying a vehicle should always be discussed with your spouse. I do agree that John needs a truck for all the fishing trips and stuff he does also now that you guys own a house having a truck will come in handy honestly.

Big men need a big truck, that thing would be hard to park, a friend of mine had one of those trucks same size, and some idiot in a small car ran into his butt, then I had some idiot ran back of me with a motorbike 🏍 wamo. Tossers on the road. If John was in Australia he would have a Holden. V6/V8 takes off nicely.
I drove 6 hours why my wife was at work and bought me a 2016 ram 3500 cummins didn’t ask!!! Guess why because I came back from my 2nd deployment and I’ve always wanted one I earned it !! She was pisssed oh well I payed for it

Johns fishing channel needs a truck! Look at it as a tax write off that way. I love the new truck! It will come in real handy for fishing and in the MN snows. A pickup is always handy to haul things but dont let all your friends take advantage of you when they move.
Come January 1st that truck purchase will make much more sense. It’s going to be a rough winter in MN I think. Hopefully no snow storms in April this year!

I have one of them and they're great in winter. sometimes I wear a thin ski mask and that over top of it and works perfect riding my mountain bike in brutal winter and just it alone keeps my ears warm.
2006 Ford F150 is one of the best engines they ever produced. Really fantastic purchase.

Hey guys love your videos you two are hilarious. I have a 09 f150 I bought it used about 6 years ago. If your f150 has the 5.4 3v engine I would suggest keeping up with your oil changes I use mobil 1 full synthetic change it every 3000-3500 miles. That will help you get many more years out of it. I currently have 90000 miles on mine and never had any major issues. Keep up the great videos happy new year!

Yeah I agree on the permission thing. I think though for any huge purchases its at least important to mention it first. Just say "hey my uncle has a truck to sell and I am gonna buy it or think about buying it". What do I know though. Never been married.

I agree with you Nikki, even if i had the money i dont think i would have a bunch of cars either. Altho, it is a nice truck and he got a great deal on it, and u have no payments on it. It was a good buy. I think he should have told before hand, but this is something my husband would do too... and i would react just like you lol :) Happy early Thanksgiving!! :D

Sorry, but the Volvo is a lot more reliable than any Ford.
John, you should have got her on the phone, and explained the situation, that it was your uncles used truck, the price he wanted for it was reasonable, and it was a great deal. But, I'm glad she wasn't too pissed off. Keep the maintenance up on your Ford, and it will last up to 300,000 miles.
