I was actually just thinking about God viability for this hypothetical scenario the other day lol. I feel like Zeus would be very strong on certain aspects, and arguably the best solo god. Poseidon might be pretty good too, but I feel like he'd be lacking in boss dps. Athena would have a lot of defensive utility, but I feel like overall damage would be lacking. Aphrodite's gotta be pretty good with her high damage core boons and some decent utility. I hope you do runs like this for every god, it's really cool!
Aphro is easily the worst one to do solo and only really is worth it if you're using close range weapons. damage reduction doesn't matter if you are decent at dodging and are using ranged weapons. And her cast is useless if it's not close range (the tier 2 boom that extends it helps, but not by much). And then her call is just garbage if it's not fully charged, which you won't even be able to make use of if you're damage output is high enough that you're killing enemies in 2-3 hits anyways since call charge is determined by number of hits and not dmg dealt. Same reason why charming is kind of pointless. Second worse might be Dionysus, solely because hangover applied by different boons overwrites each other, not stacks. So if your attack boondoes 2 dmg per second and your special boon does 5 dps, if you attack after hitting someone with a special, the attack stats will apply only
@@realtalk13 I wonder if for Aphro the best move would be to build around her legendary, using a fast weapon like fists or rail to proc the 15% chance as often as possible? I did a build like that with Lucifer and it worked surprisingly well iirc (ofc dmg ramping helped too) and mostly used aphro boons

@@realtalk13 I really don't see how Dio could be better than Aphro, especially since you have to avoid half of your moveset to use him properly and not attack while his call is active. And Aphro has boons like Life Affirmation and Wave of Despair that are just solid utility boons that, while benefit from Weak, aren't dependent on Weak. Unhealthy Fixation is also fairly abusable on high RoF weapons, and depending on your aspect, it wouldn't be that hard to get a greater call in a boss/midboss encounter. Sure, you won't get it in normal encounters, but as you said, your damage is possibly high enough to where it doesn't matter that much. And Crush Shot/Flare is a very potent cast that many cast aspects can take good advantage of, and if you're not using Beu/Hera, at least Blown Kiss is practically guaranteed making the normal cast for weapons like Poseidon or Achilles much more usable.

I love doing ares dash runs. I usually get up to about lvl 20 dash which is actually pretty absurd damage by itself. To be clear, this involves actively avoiding boons and exploiting pom blossom to max out the ares dash. At around lvl 20 a single dash rift can deal about 400 damage or so, and you can obviosly stack them for more damage. If you bait hades into attacking you in a corner, its very easy to stack the dash rifts and deal something like a 1000 dps
Very close indeed! I'd imagine a single zeus and hermes would work very well. The lightning effects combo well with each other(though you do lose i-frames from your call).
You actually do get some very brief I-frames on triggering the call even with Zeus. You just aren’t invulnerable the entire call like you are for ares or Poseidon.
I'm okay with Ares, but I'd rather have Poseidon for almost any run. Poseidon just requires so much less to be effective, and his call in particular becomes exponentially more devastating with a pom or when combined with his other call boons. It's not even remotely close how easily his call can carry over the others and save an otherwise low damage run with how it scales.
Would love to see this kind of run with Zeus, Demeter, or Artemis! Zeus would probably be the strongest with splitting bolt, double strike, and billowing strength, but I also kinda want to see crits EVERYWHERE!!
I had a similar run to this recently. I was using shield and the game decided to give me all artemis boons. Epic Support Fire eats through enemies and bosses.
Doing this with uncle zoos or uncle don would be cool as mentioned but i'm really really curious with dio imean trippy+hangover+strong drink etc sounds fun
If i could guarantee only getting boons from 1 god, I would pick Demeter. I love picking up Demeter boons, but it feels like her stuff isn't good unless you have A LOT of Demeter boons. Freezing lasers with killing freeze, Arctic Blast, (the orange one) and frost on Attack, Special, AND Call is really fun :D Downside would be losing out on her Duo Boons (i.e. Blizzard Shot, Crystal Clarity, Ice Wine, etc.)
Once you have everything unlocked, fishing should do something for you during a run like +5hp or +1damage boost or even just like 30gold during a run. Maybe a short temporary buff from posiedon like a chiron well
Bro over here beating Hades on +32, single god, weapon he doesn't like, and I'm struggling with +0 base game on phase 2. I've never even made phase 3... he makes this look easy!
I feel like Demeter might be interesting for a run like this, just from the perspective of having two curses for privileged status with killing Freeze.
So, I tried Gilgamesh last night for the first time in ages and finally read the description... YOU actually take more damage when your enemies are maimed, too, it's wild lmao ALSO I think Dio would be the worst for this since hangover only stacks 5 times and the overwrite. Everyone has status effects that sort of build on themselves and have synergy across their boons, but Dio is just wildly inconsistent damage and some miscellaneous crappy effects like slowdown. Maybe his survivability boons counterbalance that but ehh... Aphro would be busted because of charm and her raw damage, Demeter would be a little better than Dio, and Zeus would be the undisputed king of these runs because his boons work so well with themselves.
If I could get boons from one god, I'd pick Hermes because no one can hit you with enough of his speed and dogde upgrades, plus you can put on damage faster
