The Audio is a 1915 poem about the repetitive and hellish nature of British soldiers marching in south Africa. In US survival evasion resistance and escape training they play it over and over to break you. Great audio choice and i’m glad they used an old recording. I’m so stoked for this to be released.
The audio is from Rudyard Kipling’s poem, “Boots”, from 1915. 60,000 British infantrymen marched endlessly through South Africa, capturing settlement after settlement. 22,000 Solders lost their lives. The poem suggests that this psychological torture surpasses even the horrors of Hell itself, as the speaker declares after six weeks of marching that Hell contains no “fire-devils-dark or anything” - only the endless movement of boots Respect to @Grundam-bruh who posted this message on another 28 years trailer ... no plagiarism here
@ yes, and I appreciate the further background knowledge you described. Being a history buff I had never even heard about this event until this trailer drop lol
This audio recording from 1915 being included, is haunting against the scenery from everything here. This makes the hair on my arms stand up, absolutely chilling!
They talk about how the Infected have evolved. It could be the extreme rage has leveled out into some primitive tribal behavior meaning the Infected will always survive in some form living off the land.
Let's hope that because of this latest release all three films will be available as a package in 4k. Trying to find 28 Days Later on Blu-ray for a reasonable price is futile because it is no longer in print.

I rly think they will go the weird cult plot route... and it's overused in movies.. and also saw their fb cover it says "In 28 days it began. In 28 weeks it spread. In 28 years it evolved," and if it is like that it sadly doesn't have that raw horror vibe from first and second movie. And Zombie Jim i think it's a dream sequence,bc there are rumors that he appears in last scene or something.. and also actor said that he would love to be back as Jim
Yeah, I definitely get cult vibes from some of the village's aesthetic, and the reading of the numbers like it's some kind of religious chant. And the dream thing occurred to me! The first film had it's sheep dream sequence, so who knows!
Yeah I have a feeling the zombies will change to be more like the infected from cross. The rage virus has evolved to turn people into psychos more than zombies.
I'm not 100% sure if that one infected is Cillian just yet. If it is, I wonder if it's possibly even a little foreshadowing what may occur over the next couple of movies O_O Definitely looking forward to seeing how this pans out! I've got this trailer on repeat 😅

Also the background audio is actually a guy, its a 1915 recording of the war poem "Boots" written by famous poet Rudyard Kipling and spoken by American actor Taylor Holmes. Its actually known for being such a psychologically unnerving audio that its used in US military schools when training for psychological torture etc etc lol
Imagine bothering to bring Cillian Murphy back just to not only make him a zombie but to also put him on the trailer. This is not it, my guy, you might just be a tad bit off here. 😅

If you look up the cast 28 years later, Cillian Murphy is listed. Therefore, it would make no sense for him to be listed among the top five cast members if he were a zombie or dead.
Lmfao I fucking love your vibe dude. I’m also glad they’re going for a more minimalist setting without any cracked military tech. Apparently this movie was shot on an iPhone 15, so it has the potential to feel more down to Earth and personal than ever. Especially if they keep the effects practical for the most part. Altho I’m hoping the skinny Jim is just a dream sequence. It’s possible since there’s set photos of him looking more healthy and fit.
Thanks! Yeah, I've been hearing / I like that dream theory! And that camera's trivia's cool - just like the low-fi equipment they used for the first film!
