Thanks for the video. Once upon a time, journalism was about providing information so that people could decide for themselves. Then, journalism became about deciding for people and trying to give them a script to believe. Somewhere along the line, they decided that instead of being playing their part in our society by providing unbiased information, they would put their fingers on the scales. Now, they see "their part" in our society as putting fingers on the scales.
I grew up during the time of Huntley-Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, and even Wm F. Buckley. I'm finding out now sources such as MeidasTouch, David Pakman, are bringing a focus that MSM are not.
Here's what I don't understand: what EXACTLY is the "mainstream" media? That term is thrown around so much that it ceases to have any real meaning. I'm not trying to be a brat here; I really do want someone to define they mean, specifically, when they use the term "mainstream" media.
Most newspapers and television, i.e. CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, NYT, WaPo, etc. Non-MSM would be things like independent journalists, news commentators etc.
I hated the arguing and drastically cut back on Fox News programming because of it. I loved Hannity when he was partnered with Colmes. Now I have to leave the room when I hear his voice because I have “angry guest” PTSD.
This is exactly why SHN is such a refuge in the midst of the storming media. Thank you so much for all you do!

Hallelujah!! All of this. Yes. Please ask the questions that the mainstream media doesn't want you to.
The nightly news six decades ago was very factual and with no commercials. Walter Cronkite is a good example.
When Reagan got rid of the Fairness Doctrine which required truth in news reporting, he set the stage for what we have now.
In the 1995 NFL Super Bowl Playoffs, did the San Diego Chargers REALLY WIN? or did the Miami Dolphins REALLY LOOSE?
