Hello,
For a combination of Sony speakers XS-162ES at front & XS-160ES at rear, which is a suitable amplifier among Sony XM-GS4 or XM-4ES?
I require to get crystal clear sound only with some good bass. I am NOT looking for very loud sound.
What are the extra things to get from XM-4ES over XM-GS4, is it only loudness or the output is far better in terms of clarity?
Is it worth the price if I install XM-4ES or XM-GS4 will meet my requirements?

I would any day recommended XM 4ES amplifier over GS4 as GS4 is just 70w RMS per channel which will not take the load of the Sony ES series speakers. We faced this issue earlier also...

XM4 ES is a decent amplifier at 100w RMS per channel but it's always better if you over power your speaker with a higher output amplifier. The sound performance then is phenomenal

@@carsonics Thanks and much appreciate your advice. Just have related two doubts -
1. Is XM 4ES the ideal power match for both sets of speakers, or is it a little overpowered? My only concern is whether it would damage the speakers in the long run.
2. Also another concern, even though I understand that 4ES is superior, would it deliver the output as it should ideally with the stock stereo of my Honda City 5th Gen.

It won't damage your spks
And it's better if you upgrade your company Headunit to a good RAZR or Pioneer Headunit with good output
