    As someone who transitioned to TH-cam from a traditional career (nothing as awesome as pro athlete though 😁), it’s definitely an asset to have something like this that’s 100% you investing in yourself.
    And especially in almost 2025, having a media-savvy player with a positive image and following should be looked at as a huge bonus. Your channel is literally larger than some official NHL team channels! Kas, the difference between you and the other teams or amazon making videos is...
    They have people to edit those videos, to respond to the comments. That stuff takes time and regardless of what you say and certain % of youre attention from whats important. Not saying you arent amazing. But some GMs and teams do shy away from this type if thing. Most successful athletes who run a podcast or a channel were already signed to a good contract before they started doing them. And if you look at some who worried about making videos ended up you would see focusing on just getting a contract youde have already had one. Stay strong and take a few month break from videos snd social media to focus on yourself. I promise we will all be here still. ❤️

  • @roguewavecreative
    @roguewavecreative 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    as somebody that works in the space and has for a while, he laughed so hard when you showed that comment of people telling you to concentrate on hockey more.
    I can absolutely tell how much time you put into this and you do a really good job, but this isn’t your full-time job and you can tell that that’s not a bad thing it’s like you’re just documenting what you’re doing you’re not like making crazy long videos or anything.
    As somebody that really enjoys your content sometimes I wish you would make longer videos, but I don’t think that’s necessary so anyways just keep up the great work.
    and you know that’s great you’re getting into coaching. I mean, I think as somebody is an ex goalie I would say that that’s a great way to go cause you have a lot to give and itkeeps you close to the game. Continued success.

    Things with pro teams though is that they want to be the ones in control. So yes they have their own BTS footage but it's all guidelined so their media team doesnt show what the team doesnt want people to see. Being on your own they can give guidelines but do they trust you'll follow them. Good example is of a kicker vlogging his tryout experience with the Washington Commanders, his video wasnt anything wild but the teams are so archaic in their ways that they just stick to it. Like you could see in the Amazon doc that team staff were trying to fudge up shots (ala the Oilers EQ guy closing curtains and trying to back the cameras off. All or Nothing barely gave us anything except some leafs being hipster coffee people and like 2 trades. The rest was sunshine and rainbows. NHL werent fans of Rangers Flyers 24/7 because of how raw it was but us fans want that shit because its not curated. No pro player is gonna win when it comes to wanting to do content on team premises if its not by their own curated people sadly.

      Well, as he said, when he was with Toronto they approved all the videos so they were still the ones in control. Kaz's videos are always super positive, I don't think any team would have an issue with them especially given they'd also have input in approvals. It's basically free PR and goodwill for them with minimal risk that Kaz is going to do something crazy (like throw a water bottle at a ref lol).
