The move where sister Friede goes invisible also gave me a headache at first. In the beginning i marked her with throwing knives of the crow quills weapon art. The knives stay visible so you know where she is and when she attacks. Later i found out that, once she goes invisible, the particles tell you in which direction she jumped. Then it's just a matter of timing to evade or find her, getting behind her and giving her a backstab :D But it took me a long time to figure that out XD
This video randomly got recommended to me, and it was a fun watch. Something for the future if you do other caster stuff, besides the caster rings, there's a chime outside the cathedral to deacons called Saint-tree Bellvine that gives you 99 virtual dex. So it gives you max cast speed and you can just keep it in your offhand. You don't have to cast with it.
In Elden Ring some enemies (Morgott for example) can have their phase transitions triggered by a parry when they'd normally need poise damage. I think some of phase 1s attacks can be parried, so that might work?
Fun fact: The Rapier slash of the Crystal Sage can actually be parried and even be followed up with a riposte XD Found that out in my 2nd playthrough with a Katana.
Dearest sire Toto, Kind regards to yet another magnificent video, but I would like to correct you about a thing you said that really upset me. When Friede walks in the cutscene, you must not say "why Miyazaki". Instead, you should say "thank you, Miyazaki" Hope this helps in future runs, sire.
WAAAIT... killing soul of cinder like that didn't make the plin plin plon music start?! Anyway, the dragonslayer armour being weak to frost is canon: it's a golem, so a shell activated by a core with souls. That core is weak to magic (according to ds1 rules), and frost is a type of magic damage, so freezing an armour is lore-friendly.
TOTO you should 100% try Lies Of P, if you havent heard its a souls game where you are pinnochio and it is genuinely amazing and I think you would love it
Gael has the same mechanics as the four Kings in ds1 did where there's other gael's under the mape for his different stages. So the poison didn't transfer because its a different Gael i believe.
@@chancereed9932 for some fucking reason, making the default spellcaster a dexboy is one of the weirdest design choices in the souls series. Seriously why doesnt it scale with attunment that may actually get me to invest in it
Elden ring is definitely fun, but it is tedious for speedruns and challenge runs due to all the travel distance. This why I still prefer DS3. It's a more fun game to play wrong.
Love seeing a new video, but I do have a suggestion, lately your commentary on youre challenge runs have become really repetitive, with you just narrating every basic action or repeating the same, "What? Huh? What is even happening? This is literally crazy guys." a lot. The video ideas are cool, but itd be nice if you focused more on speaking about something else during them, like telling stories as one example. You do really well with the scripts overall when it comes to the voiceovers, and its neat to learn about the progression you take through the game in that perspective in between bosses. I just wanna hear more of that interesting style you have.
Thanks for the suggestion! Ive been trying to diversify the commentary as of lately but its not that easy as English is not my first language. It will take alot more years before ill manage to become more fluent at it :)
@@tototriceps No worries man! I still enjoy them, but I always wanna interact and give feedback from a viewer perspective. I hope you keep making videos you enjoy :)
My random souls list from worst to best Lies of p - haven’t played but want too Ds2 - felt clunkier, and the amount of enemies was absurd. Got stuck at the looking glass knight tower place, cause I couldn’t figure out what to do. So slight bias saying I haven’t finished it Demon souls(ps5) - better but easier than ds2 Elden ring - harder than ds1, ds2, ds3, and demon souls. But I just hated the game. Beat the fire giant and said I’ve done at least more than half the game I’m not touching Elden ring again. Sekiro - playing that atm Ds1/ds3 - love them both Bloodborne - just love it I’ll say though I couldn’t find too much replay value in it
Aldrich could have been a little bit easier with some knowledge of his AI. Basically, the moves Aldrich is able to use is based almost entirely on the distance between you and the boss. In no-hit runs, runners stay in a sweet spot of distance (around close-medium distance) where Aldrich almost exclusively uses melee attacks, no magic (including the dreaded arrows), and cannot teleport. You can even attack Aldrich at close range provided you get back in the safe zone before his recovery animations finish. Learning this strategy makes the fight a lot less of a headache, especially in longer fights like this run or in a Master Run (SL1, No Upgrades/Infusions, NG+7, Fresh Start).
Not sure if you know this but you can damage the Archdeacon without killing any of the Deacons of the Deep. He is actually hidden inside the Giant Coffin in the center of the boss room. Just hug it's front, use a mist spell and the HP bar should start depleting.
@@tototriceps You need to cast the mist from the middle of the coffin from the front side (the side in front of you when you enter). Using the staff might not have worked because the mist may not travel as far as the pyromancy clouds, or you weren't in the right spot.
@@tototricepsto quote Desertphile "Gravity you fuckin' retard! Graavity have you ever heard of fucking gravity!? GRAAAAVVIIITTTYYYYY!!!" Aaah that's fuckin' mint
Dragonslayer Armour also has a different death animation if you don't trigger the second phase... Which you didn't see cause you walked through the ice cloud

Oh nice i forgot about the Bellvine. Glad you enjoy the content man :D
Regarding Cinder’s phase transition, YMFAH had the same issue when using summons - the transition is only triggered by the player hitting him.
Oh yeah i totally forgot that... Cinder really is just a bain haha
Vort just chilling in his room cz toto forgot about him XD
I actually did kill him but i didnt bother to put him in the video. He doesnt matter anyways haha

In Soviet Russia Cinder parries you

I know, thats how speedrunners destroy that dude.
It does make sense that Dragonslayer armor can be frostbitten because metal when excessively cold gets very brittle
I knew someone would comment this haha

First time I killed DragonSlayer Armour was by using pestilian mist. It doesn't trigger the second phase.
Its kinda fitting that it doesnt trigger it, as the spell is almost like an enviormental trap
Is that Starcraft Terran theme I hear at the start?
Yep thats Terran music. I am contractually obliged to like now.
Starcraft 2 Terran music, absolutely beautiful soundtracks!

Do you take your final words after soul of cinder back after doing the thorns only run?

Dex determines spell cast speed
I am aware of that, but its not that significant in the grand scheme of things.
