I do like the aftermath of the town in turmoil. Which we got in Kills and somewhat in Ends. However, hun growing is just silly. I did like your idea about him disappearing at midnight.
I like the idea of Michael being a ghost but growing 12 ft tall like the super predator in The Predator? Uh, no lol. That was a silly idea, and I don't know how they would've pulled that off effects wise back in 1988. That is pretty ambitious though. They Live was the closest we got to a Cannon Films John Carpenter movie.
Honestly while I love the Halloween 4 we got to death I wouldn't be mad at this attempt of only we could hop onto a dimension where these events actually took place we would be in a totally different scenario with the franchise
There's a recording floating around the internet of a bunch of people reading the Etchison script almost like a radio play and listening to it has become a Halloween tradition for me. I've listened to it so many times I can almost see the movie the movie that was never made in my head.
i really like the premise that john was going for in this fourth one. the 12 ft tall michael does sound a little outlandish for me but i love the idea that he had become a manifestation of fear. i think it really would align with who the character is and it also would’ve set itself apart from the other slashers that were coming out at that time but oh well lol

John Carpenter wanted to do a type of anthology Halloween series where every year he would do a movie that revolved around Halloween Night...I would love to hear from John the ideas he had planned for Halloween movies over the years to come (that never happened).

It's a decent script apart from the giant Michael shit. I definitely prefer the Halloween 4 we got.
That said, I think this would've been the way to go if they just HAD to do a sequel to H20. Michael as an entity could've been cool.

According to Irwin Yablans, he optd to sue John over refusing to do Halloween 2, not 4.
Moustapha also stated along with john and Debra, he opted out with Debra after H3's results were in.
Also, alot of scripts take well beyond 3 passes to be completed
(2018 took over 70 drafts for example)
Far as the Loomis thing though, it never made sense that Michael survive the end of H2,
yet alone Dr Loomis
He did In fact sue him for Halloween 2. He and Moustapha threatened to do it again for Halloween 4.

Halloween 4 saved the series. It was non existent for years and Myers not since 81. I gave up on the series, and then when it came back I was so excited as elm st was massive so slashers we’re back. Great movie Halloween 4.

Why did they change the look of the mask in every movie from 4 on? They got less and less like the one used in the first one every movie.

Hello Planet CHH hope your well buddy . John Carpenter's version of Halloween 4 sounds sounds very interesting but I'm happy with the Halloween 4 that we got . I really really love the Jamie Lloyd character and at that point in time I could not Imagine Halloween without Dr Loomis . To me Donald Pleasence was the heart and soul of Halloween and it hasn't been the same since he died . plus making Michael a ghost or a demon makes him to much like Jason . Michael is the boogie man and you can't kill the boogie man you can lonely survived if he let's you .

Hey CHH!! I kinda like the idea of The Shape as a supernatural force that appears on Halloween night seeing as the man was killed in H2. The 12 foot thing kills the story for me. Utter nonsense in my opinion.
