    If you go into the thousands of grams (or eggs 🤓) does the decimal disappear? Or will it only read out to the hundreds position

      @@TeardownOZ2CPU Thanks for the quick response Thomas, I appreciate it a lot. Also, regarding the limit of the display, is it possible to change the readings into kilograms instead of grams? I am planning to use it as an experiment using weights ranging from 0-10 kg.

      @@nonam3840 YES, like you see in the video, you simply calibrate the readout in the range you want, to the type of sensor you got, if it is 10kg you use as full scale, or 10 grams, or 10 bananas dont really matter

    Thomas, good review. Im wondering if I could read the weight data from this module. I am specifically referring to the version with the HX711 chip on it. I also understand that there's the RX/TX pins exposed at the top. Would it be a way to just read in serial what was displayed in the LCD?

    • @TeardownOZ2CPU

      @@TeardownOZ2CPU Just got mine, tested it and its pretty impressive but I think I'l still need some time calibrating this properly. However, its rather disappointing not to receive any UART signals from the RX/TX Pins at the top. I suspect it would probably be the STC's Programming port. Have you dig deeper into making this send out the weight via UART? Im not too familiar with the STC 51 series chip set & I believe STC seems to take pride in making sure their programs are safe / extraction proof. Any way to get the source codes for this to be reprogrammed?

    Is the one I was looking for .... if I understand correctly, with this form you don't have to use Arduino and similar stuff for configuration, can everything be done by the module? Just a 5V power supply and a load cell?The max weight bearable weight is almost 10kg (9,999) there are 5-digit modules for greater weights?

    • @TeardownOZ2CPU
      @TeardownOZ2CPU  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      YES, all you see, is all you need, NO arduino needed, no software needed, just connect as shown, and 5V
      the PCB i got, is the one with INTEGRATED HX711, some may have it as a little external pcb, double check this when ordering, not always clear.

    • @TeardownOZ2CPU

      you can make it measure anything, if you use something that weights in pounds, it when measure in pounds :-)
      you put in a zero, and a know number for a known weight, could also be used to count eggs :-)
      put 10 eggs on it, and tell it what ever that weight is = the read out value 10,
