Laguna 14BX Bandsaw Unboxing and Assembly

- I purchased this Laguna 14 BX Bandsaw about 6 months ago. Today I will finally unbox and assemble the unit. Laguna Tools sells 2 version of the new 14BX Bandsaw. 110v Single Phase and a 220v Single phase option. Since I will be using this Laguna Bandsaw to resaw hardwoods I elected to purchase the 220v version. This Laguna Bandsaw was very easy to assemble and the fit and finish was excellent. Thank you David. As you can see in the background I have been getting by with an older craftsman bandsaw. Hurt the wallet a little bit, but so far I have been really happy with it. Hopefully it runs as good as she looks!!!
How do you like the bandsaw after a year? I just ordered one but have to wait till June!
I have same bandsaw 2.5hp like new shape for $700 last week on offer up but it missing the fence the guy lost in a move. Does the fence work to correct drift ? Laguna sells the fence in pieces $$, so i guess i might go for Carters magfence the Kreg is short on mount to base. The other question does the power button light up between the i/0 looks like it should. Thanks
What type of plug end do you have on your 220v receptacle? NEMA 6-20R? And what kind of plug end does the laguna come with?
Electrical is not my area of expertise. The male plug end says IH-107 and it looks like your basic 110v plug however both hot ends are horizontal and not vertical. These are newer style plugs for me, as I am I used to welders with the large 220v plugs LOL

That's an old craftsman that was given to me. It was time for an upgrade :) Have not decided the fate of the old Craftsman yet!

I was the delivery person. Purchased at my local Woodcraft 🤣 Wasn't too bad to be honest!

Just an FYI: The 120v and 240v versions are NOT the same price. There is a $100 or so price difference.

@@RISENGRINDWORKSHOP I sit corrected. When I purchased my 240v version last Memorial Day, there was a difference.
Your video did not include setting the table to perpendicular, releasing the bolts that locked the tension, setting the fence glide height, setting the ruler to zero, and because you are bladeless, you didn't address blade position or setting the guides.
Now you know what to go film. It’s an unboxing. Not a demo!
That Johnson Paste Wax is more valuable than the saw...

I just set mine up. put a new Starrett 115" X 5/8" X 3tpi as recommended by the guy at woodcraft. Cuts worse than my shopsmith. just lousy, have to push like a bull dozer to get it to rip a 2 X 6 with the high fence. anybody know what blades are better. The $26 price probably should have been a dead giveaway.
That sucks. I was lucky enough to have had Laguna send me out one of their 3/4 Re-Saw king blades. My intended use for this machine is to Resaw hardwood. Blade retails for $150 but I can tell you it's a beast! Just don't have the luxury of tight radius, if I ever need that I still have my old Craftsman saw. Get a better blade for sure!
