Good to see you again 😃 my propagation failed 😑 I cut the sections and placed them individually in moss with the growing points close to the moss & put the pot into a zip lock bag and it failed miserably ... I have one more spike yet to bloom, so I’ll try again! Continue staying safe & hi to your pets 😃
Ninja_Orchids good to see you too! Oh weird. I wonder if I’ll have any more luck with mine. Keep trying on that next spike, we can compare notes! Lol. Yeah I think I’ll do a little reptile update soon. Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! Going to try this with my P. tankervillaee tonight. I have about 8 spikes to work with, but I'm going the leave the ones with pods, as last year I did not get any.
Oh wow 8 spikes, that’s awesome. I’ve seen pics of some really huge specimens. I hope mine gets like that! Yes you should give it a try so we can compare notes!
Thanks for sharing this video, I have a lady Ramona whose flowers are just starting to wilt, so I should try this too. I was thinking of repotting after cutting off the spike, what media are you using?
Hi Jessica! Mine came in pure spagnum, it’s on the cusp of needing a repot, but the new growth is coming in already so I might just wait a while. When I repot I’ll probably switch to a moss, fine bark, perlite mix. How about yours?
@@bennetriley1988 Thanks for your reply mate! I meticulously searched the case and discovered that it is likely not to work very often. I was wondering if you placed it vertically, submerging (at first) part of it into rooting hormone, then sticking it into a mix of coco-peat and vermiculite (that helps newborn seedlings produce their root system). I really look forward to seeing any update. ;)
@@bennetriley1988 I'm novice, pretty new at this genus, but I will certainly try it once my plant has inflorescences. I suppose yours has already its new one, that's why you said you will keep us updated. Looking forward to that mate!
Good to see you back! This is exciting, I can't wait to see your out come. Keep us updated please. Stay safe and healthy!
Thanks Patty! I’m gonna try to post a little more regularly. Thanks for watching! You take care too!
Great idea
Can't wait for the results...
Thanks! Yeah me too. That’s the frustrating part, I hate waiting... Lol.

Hi my favorite is the one with yellow flowers a new fan 🦋 stay safe
Thanks so much for watching Jenelle! I appreciate it. Let me know if you ever have any suggestions or requests for video topics!
Can't wait to see how this turns out. Forwarding to my friend who bought a Phaius at Lyman's this past fall.
Oh awesome! That was probably around the same time I got mine, also from Lymans!
Aahhh, saving this to watch later, once the kids go to bed! 🤩🤩
Hi Danni! hope you enjoy!!! 😊😊😊
Good luck! I am doing the propagation experiment with a stem of one of my phals and from cane of dendrobium pendulum, hope it will go well!
That’s awesome! Let me know how it works out.

Interested to see the update
Hi Bennet, may I ask for any kind of update regarding this experiment? Did it work?
Hi! No it didn’t work unfortunately. I think I got kind of impatient and gave up on it lol. I’ll try again one of these days.

@@pifi6618 oh interesting. I’m glad I’m not the only one who had a hard time with it. Mine was laid horizontally on a bad or moss and park.

Interesting 🤔
Right? We’ll see what happens. 🤷♂️
Don’t forget to keep us updated about your pets !
I will! I think they’ll make an appearance in my next vid. 😉
That's how I successfully propagate my epidendrum and dendrobium nobile
That’s awesome. I’ve heard of this working well with some dendrobiums. I’ll have to give it a shot with some different ones!
