The bassist is def having the time of his life - having studied, practised, tried to get gigs, landing this one, playing a prestigious festival - doesn't get better than this when you connect with your instrument on such an organic level that you don't even need to look at your fretboard - just pure connection and joy! God bless brother.

The record is so iconic, all the musicians were so in the moment, maybe the song can never be re-created. What Mark Craney and Carlo Rios did is a hard act to follow. But Mr/ Vannelli can hardly not do one of his most popular songs.
Great hearing a more "jazzy" approach to this epic tune! I kinda miss those old drum kits with a lot of toms, but the more modern approach including more snare works just fine with me. As usual with Gino Vanelli: all musicians are at least a notch above top notch ;-)
