I use it like a watch from time to time but it's really not worth it as that. You get put into the tamagotchi screen first and then you gotta swipe to the watch screen which sometimes fails. If they let you put that as first, maybe people would use it as a watch more.
A lot of Tamagotchi fans are also Digimon fans, and wearing both the Tamagotchi Smart and the Vital Bracelet at the same time is a little much. Especially considering only one requires you to wear it.

I got my daughter and some of her friends these watches for Christmas, including the Rainbow Friends and Sweets Friends TamaSma cards and we’re still very much getting to grips with everything, considering we can only speak/read English. Is there a quick way to turn volume off, ie for when we go to church?
Go to the menu, then click on the status/setting icon (heart and cog), scroll down once and select the first option on the second screen (so third option overall - せってい), then select the first option (サウンド’せってい） and then the second option (right option - オフ). Your Tama is now on mute, to turn the sound back on, repeat the steps but press the left option (オン)
I have the rainbow and sweets cards with the rainbow currently installed. With the Smart Cards only have 3 downloads, if you were to reinstall 1996 friends would that use up another download slot so you only have one slot left? Or is it only three different Tamas that you can use it with, and you can switch cards on your same Tama as many times as you’d like?
Piggy backing onto this question.. So if you only have one device you can use the smart cards and swap them out as many times as you like on the same device?
On the sweets game you have to press the button whenever a black word appears on top. Not before that or after that.

I definitely use mine as a watch and since it's on my wrist I can easily keep track of my tama so it won't die lol

It's the same device so it still counts as one. Same with the Dim cards on the VB.
