Good video. Only thing is that when you’re removing the shifter plastic (silver part with prndl) just pull the silver receiver part away from the black clips. Don’t try the screw driver method. It can break things easily.
When removing the trim on either side of the shifter, it pops out up toward you, not sideways. I tooks some time to clean all the parts with soap and water and now the shifter area looks brand new again :)
th-cam.com/video/yhBCHMIWU08/w-d-xo.html That guys shows how the trim is removed. 2008-2014 or something are all the same, dont quote me on those years though, its just a bunch! Also search for replacing your headunit, lots of those videos show the removal of trim pieces.
I’d recommend jamming a couple trim tools between the trim and the radio. Then yank from the back. That’s the easiest way, but be careful cuz it can break the clips. Knows it’s way late but still
Thank you for the instructions! Very helpful. I was able to replace shifter light easily thanks to you.

The correct bulb for a 2012 Corolla LE is 1.2W, 12V (Sylvania 2721). I verified this with Toyota dealership.
