Have to disagree on last question regarding Australian community, I've spent many years in UK and the situation is worlds apart, with aimless students stuffed in small houses just wanting to stay under the radar and get immigration through the 14 year 'illegal route', visit any community in East London to see my point. Most of the Australian community is actually on professional or skilled visas. The amount of students going aimless just to drive taxis and work in dollar stores to simply earn money I can bet is much much smaller by ratio. Maybe you ran into a group that would have been doing that but it doesn't add up. In the UK a day didn't go by when I met someone who wasn't a struggling student overstaying their visa and getting into dodgy shit. I think u seem to have small bias with Australia (since maybe its your first time and you only spent 10 days there), there are plenty of amazing people living and working here from the Pakistani community, perhaps you needed to do more research into connecting with them since you were there just for the cricket primarily. In fact this reputational damage you speak of over generations has primarily been done by US and UK expat communities to be begin with. This isn't to disagree with your points but to address a bias that is a bit unfair, also remember Australia is a v young nation with a very new destination for Pakistani students. There are excellent high achieving students, academics, doctors, businessmen and IT processionals in Aus doing great things but I guess they don't have a voice so they are getting unfairly smeared, please do not paint the entire community with the same brush. Just a disagreement as I have lived in both communities not anything personal against you, keep up the great work Junaid bhai! FOR ALL THOSE WANTING TO GET INTO CYBER SECURITY: Australia actually has huge demand for cyber sec professionals, in fact I can bet it will be on the CSOL (Critical Skill Occupation List) so definitely a great area to pursue a rewarding career, if that's where your interest is then definitely pursue it. Plenty of jobs in this sector. FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: Make sure your degree QUALIFIES to allow you to apply for PR via the degree route BEFORE you choose. Don't apply blindly or based on some half assed advice. Australia has restricted a lot of courses lately but if your Degree is aligned to the Shortage List you will have a much better and easier entry to the work force without having to rely on 'do numbri' ways

Concentration is not as much as UK though u r right because it is a small country compared to Aus area wise, here we are a bit spread out.

As an Indian You are right about pakistani students in Australia. I studied there for 4 years. We had 5 pakistani students mostly from Karachi, one was from Punjab Pakistan. Karachites were alway by themselves, never interacted with anyone. They thought Indian students were inferior of them so that’s why they can’t be friends with them. Punjabi student was very polite and friendly ( just bc we had same mother tongue). They always tried to cheat in exam. Missed classes for work. They openly said that they were there just for citizenship and had no interest in studies.

Patron question: Same happen with me in Australia. I was studing BIT and met Pakistani professor who mentioned that won't be able to get job after degree. After considering his thoughts and underlined the fact that why he is then wasting his time in this field by teaching us. Anyway, after finishing my degree I got job as software engineer. I wont say that it was piece of cake to acquire job, but you have to do some extra work e.g: self paced projects, open source contributions while studying which will add in to your portfolio and when you will apply in companies. It will attract them. Best of luck with your future. Tips: create linkedin and connect with people who are in this field and see what's going in market to compete with others.

let me correct you here regarding Australia. I have spent 20 years here. Did my bachelor's, and master's in accounting, followed by a professional year finished in 2013. Since then I never got a professional job as this is the most racist in the world. Google racism in Australia. All Indian Pakistanis are left out with poor jobs such as driving uber, security guards, and taxis. It is very common in this country if you apply for 100 jobs you will never get a call if your name sounds south Asian. I personally know Ph.D. holders, and engineers driving taxis who all graduated from Australia not overseas. Australia is a transit country now where highly educated people from the middle east of Pakistani background stay on pr visas for 5 years, do blue color jobs for 5 years then take their blue passports then do a job in the middle east on a high pay scale. Australia has the most difficult immigration system, which takes at least 7 to 10 years. It's easy to get any job only if your skin color is white. End of 1970 they had this policy where only white skin colored people were allowed in this country and still today it reflects in this society. Just like in Pakistan everyone is corrupt. Australia is the same where everyone discriminates. I can bet with you can never get a cashier job at a Woolworth store in Australia. That's why all these young students who came up with so many dreams in this country are now lost. Your answer is based on two days tour near the beach. To Australia walay bhai, I came here just like you now working as I.T which I wanted to be. I was surrounded with those people who focus on money. I advise you to leave your people and start leaving with people who are not from country atleast. It will help you to understand the environment around you and it help you to be humble. Second thing, if you can try to find small I.T company who can hire you on part time or casual basis atleast. It will help you to get job in I.T or cybersecurity after 1 year. I have done the same thing, the first company I was working with they only hire me on casual basis. Last thing Never ever work with Desi people. They never give you money and abuse you.

To every single woman in Pakistan, Although Junaid is right that our society is extremely regressive for women but please note that in the west family system and social fabric has collapsed. You will get this beach and birds chirping stuff there but toxic men are everywhere. Women are raped in every single country every single hour and surprisingly the country which Junaid is mentioning, worlds highest rape culture after India is in U.S. Giving you personal example, half of my family lifes in Canada and U.S and believe me they cry our loud as their kids have gotten into drugs alcohol and other stuff which is not only haram in Islam but unethical as well. Yes peace is your basic right but it doesn't mean you disobey your parents and become rebellious and get out of here. Getting out of Pakistan is no solution, she went to U.S not all of you can. There are good guys and understanding men here in Pakistan too. I know they are like aatay mein namak k barabar but have faith in God. Ask Him for good understanding men around you. Junaid, By saying Pakistan is hell for women, you are giving free depression to those 99.9% Pakistani women who won't make out of Pakistan only few get out of here. And believe me disobeying parents won't let anyone go far. So my advice to all women, stay in Pakistan, make dua, work hard, do your study start work and live a happy life here. Just google 10 hours of walking in New York as a woman , see that video and then tell me how secure and peaceful is U.S or any other west country for a woman.

Aur countries ko compare percentage se karte hai when it comes to crime rate. Kisi country ki population lakho me hai aur uska 90% crime rate hua ( just an example ) to victims lakho me hi honge. But India me agar 1% hi hua (example) to bhi victims crore me ayega due to population. Par is case me India zyada safe rahega due to low crime rate. Ab samjha kuch.

Patron question: Same happen with me in Australia. I was studing BIT and met Pakistani professor who mentioned that won't be able to get job after degree. After considering his thoughts and underlined the fact that why he is then wasting his time in this field by teaching us. Anyway, after finishing my degree I got job as software engineer. I wont say that it was piece of cake to acquire job, but you have to do some extra work e.g: self paced projects, open source contributions while studying which will add in to your portfolio and when you will apply in companies. It will attract them. Best of luck with your future.

let me correct you here regarding Australia. I have spent 20 years here. Did my bachelor's, and master's in accounting, followed by a professional year finished in 2013. Since then I never got a professional job as this is the most racist in the world. Google racism in Australia. All Indian Pakistanis are left out with poor jobs such as driving uber, security guards, and taxis. It is very common in this country if you apply for 100 jobs you will never get a call if your name sounds south Asian. I personally know Ph.D. holders, and engineers driving taxis who all graduated from Australia not overseas. Australia is a transit country now where highly educated people from the middle east of Pakistani background stay on pr visas for 5 years, do blue color jobs for 5 years then take their blue passports then do a job in the middle east on a high pay scale. Australia has the most difficult immigration system, which takes at least 7 to 10 years. It's easy to get any job only if your skin color is white. End of 1970 they had this policy where only white skin colored people were allowed in this country and still today it reflects in this society. Just like in Pakistan everyone is corrupt. Australia is the same where everyone discriminates. I can bet with you can never get a cashier job at a Woolworth store in Australia. That's why all these young students who came up with so many dreams in this country are now lost. Your answer is based on two days tour near the beach. In fact, you don't have any practical living experience in western countries. On the contrary USA, Canada, Uk welcomes hardworking people and rewards them more than Australia. In our cases we are just stuck and struggling,dont see a career however bills are being paid. we call this life now.

I came here just like you now working as I.T which I wanted to be.
I was surrounded with those people who focus on money.
I advise you to leave your people and start leaving with people who are not from country atleast.
It will help you to understand the environment around you and it help you to be humble.
Second thing, if you can try to find small I.T company who can hire you on part time or casual basis atleast. It will help you to get job in I.T or cybersecurity after 1 year. I have done the same thing, the first company I was working with they only hire me on casual basis.
Last thing Never ever work with Desi people. They never give you money and abuse you.
