Assassins creed II will always be the best intro for me. Climbing the church, the awesome quote and Ezio’s family. The beginning of the greatest assassin and the mentor Ezio Auditore’s story
Assassin's Creed Syndicate's title intro is the only moment I remember being happy in 2015 when the game released. I was coming off a really bad break up that Christmas and Assassin's Creed Syndicate (and Life Is Strange) saved me from suicidal ruin, aside the earlier Assassin's Creed which I love, Syndicate holds a very special place in my heart.
"My story is one of many thousands, and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon." Fun parallel with later in the same game: "What is a man but the sum of his memories? We are the stories we live! The tales we tell ourselves!"
I've not played Valhalla but I can agree... It's not as iconic as all the other intros, no real ost under it either not even a rendition of Ezio's Family. Kinda disappointing.

Okay, voicing an idea I just came up with because I think it's interesting to discuss: Nearly every single game of the series does feature the logo of AC. The most that stuck out to me was ACIII because they put you this beautiful view and they didn't put the logo like the the earlier games. And now watching it after a few years and checking this compilation, only to notice it's one out of the 4 games that does not feature the iconic "A" / eagle beak skull (ACIII, AC Revelations, AC Origins, Odyssey), can't help but wonder... Maybe it's meant to be a small clue that Haytham is not an Assassin and that's why they substracted the logo from the ACIII intro. (UPDATE: Thinking about it further, the reasoning for the logo being missing in Revelations might be because it is prominently featured in the cinematic since it takes place in Masyaf. Odyssey and Origins make sense because it predates the proper Assassin Order, which gets "founded" in the very end of Origins). However this theory falls down a bit because for some odd reason Revelations does not actually feature the A (but it is featured on the cinematic, when there's the top down view on Masyaf's floor tiling) on the logo. Thoughts?
AC1 is probably the only one where the social stealth actually makes sense as he's indistinguishable from the other scholars. Mario "Give it (Apple of Eden) to me. You can do with it as you will later" that went well for him :(

Or how it takes like 20 minutes to traverse the map, but unlike something like red dead 2 where something actually happens while moving around the open world, in ac odyssey it’s just holding forward and jump?
@@Nero-st1vc I'm assuming you're referring to Odyssey? I'm pretty sure the map takes a lot longer to traverse than that lol. But no, because fast travel is a thing. I also don't care if no random encounters happen, there's plenty of other things. It's funny you mentioned RD2. Which is definitely a great game, but I ended up getting bored with it and never finished.

And this in ten hours of playing it, so Odyssey is a bad game, as an AC is horrible, as a standard RPG yes. That thing does not deserve to have AC in its title

Honestly it’s always bugged me we get the title card in AC3 with Haytham, would have been better to just play that whole prologue-like sequence with Haytham and only get the title card once we get to Connor
Revelations is far from the worst AC games, but it is definitely the most disappointing. After being confined to cities, the trailers teased it as an open world exploration game. Hell, I'd be down if it was completely linear. It would've been better than what we got.

Played all AC games when they're released. I agree with what you said about Odyssey, but Valhalla is totally different. It got its lore right (not much but enough to call itself an Assassin's creed game), has more stealth gameplay than most AC games and has most beautiful setting. I'd definitely put it up with one of the best AC games(1, Ezio trilogy, origins)
I’m sorry but in all honesty AC 2’s intro is probably the weakest here. It has Ezios family which is great and I guess it’s a decent quote but you are all really hyping up two guys standing on the top of a tower in the dark. So many of these are superior - Black Flags Music and Setting - the amazing revelations cinematic - 3s sun rise with Haytham staring out to Boston Hell even AC1 has an interesting cinematic. 2 is a great game but it’s intro is mid at best

I just now noticed the Assassin's symbol isn't in Origins or Odyssey because those are both set before the botherhood was established. Nice touch.
