4.21 of this video, I believe Dave had him with the knight, bishop backed by the queen I figure fork the king and queen with the knight forcing the rook to take. Then, I think bishop enters the fray. Anyway, a frustrating loss for Dave there and I would argue a lucky escape for Carlini.

You are tripping out. There are 2 special moves in chess. En Passant is a special move. Castling is a special move. En passant is more rare...so beginners are startled when they first see it. It can only be done when your opponent moves a pawn 2 space off of it's original row and moves past your pawn. You can take his pawn if you can move your pawn diagonally into the space that he passed over. And you have to do it only on the move immediately after his.

As they state in every video, they are playing clock move. So the move hasn't been made, he didn't press the clock after it
