Cool. This is a Karamanlı (Turkic speaking Orthodox Christians who descended from Turcopolis troops of Byzantine) song.

correction they did not descend and do not descend from the turkopoli troops they in fact descend from Anatolian greeks of the interior regions of Anatolia or asia minor mainly who during the Seljuk Turkish and osmanli or ottoman Turkish periods of Anatolia were progressively linguistically turkified to the extent that they eventually forgot their ancestral greek language.

this has been conclusively proven by many scholars that have studied all the available facts about the Karamanlides and have come to this conclusion already since the 19th century.

in fact the only turks who tried fortunately unsuccessfully to turkify or rather misrepresent as actual turks the Karamanlides and in general all other Turkish speaking Anatolian greeks ,who still however continued using the greek alphabet ,not the Arabic alphabet used in ottoman Turkish, to write their Karamanli Turkish dialect, were the kemalists who only did for political reasons not for ethnic reasons .

and finally it has been proven that all turks of Anatolia descend predominantly from the large majority of Anatolian greeks that were turkified , linguistically mainly , and Islamized in the centuries following the Seljuk Turkish conquest of Anatolia and continuing in to the ottoman Turkish era of Anatolia or asia minor

@@channel89100_IBEBEE There are also Cappadocian Greek speakers in some of these areas, a Turkish-Greek mixed language
