Girl I couldn’t get through Things we hide from the light. It was such a let down. But on the off chance you haven’t heard of it, The Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is an absolute MUST. It was a 5 star read for me which is so rare these days. It was good literally from the first page to the last.

When you talked about the Park Avenue Summer book, (which is a must on my TBR list now) it reminds me of a book by Elizabeth Gilbert City of Girls. A girl coming to New York, in 1940s, small local theatre. I just loved that story and I can recommend the audiobook, as I love the sound of Blair Brown's voice. Have you read it?

Two books I HIGHLY recommend lately 1) if you like My Year of Rest and Relaxation you’d love The Guest by Emma Cline 2) The Whispers by Ashley Audrain a book about how a wealthy woman’s son falls from his window in the middle of the night, you are left wondering what happened and it goes through all perspectives of the mom, the best friend neighbor and the elderly woman neighbor who watches it all unfold.

I thought I was the only one that couldn't get through Things We Hide From The Light! I really tried to like that book but the connection between the characters felt weird to me. But I think you should read The Sweet Spot next! It just seems like a cute and comfy read!

I think you should definitely read "The Year of Magical Thinking". Didion is an aspiring and great writer who really brings her raw feelings and vulnerable writing shine through in this memoir of hers.

If somebody struggles to read for a long time non stop my advice is to read like 20 minutes each time and maybe more than one book.
