- Over HERITAGE DAY weekend, we camped at MAHAI campsite with Craig's parents and aunt and uncle. Our campsite had no electricity! So make sure to book early if you want a site with electricity.
On our first day we set up camp and did a short hike to the CASCADES. On the second day we did really big hike, the GORGE hike. It was very challenging, but the views and destination is so worth it!

This looks like the kind of weekend trip we would love! That campsite looks beautiful and your tent is so spacious! Top tip, pull apart an old newspaper and lay it down on the tent before putting your bed on it, you'll be toasty!

You guys and your parents did well hiking in this heat, we know only too well how nice it is to get into the forest and find shade on a hike like this, shade makes it so much easier! The hike looks beautiful though, bet Craig felt great after that dip!

We have booked our next South African adventure! Next year, 29 days, and we will stay 3 nights in the Drakensbergen as well as 2 nights in Granny Mouse, Midlands! (Yes because of your previous video about this lovely place!)

@@BeingBedingfield we start in Upington and will do a big tour of 2 weeks visiting Augrabies, Namaqualand, Cederberg and Westcoast NP. Stay a couple of nights in CT and then fly to Durban on august 21st. From there another week in the Natal Midlands, Drakensberg and Oribi Gorge. On august 28th we go for 5 nights to Ballito to our friends. I guess that will be the best week to have a coffee and meet. Friday eve september 2nd we return home. By then I suggest to exchange cellphone numbers so we can get in touch with eachother by WhatsApp if that's okay for you. Have a good weekend, love from us 👋🇳🇱❤🇿🇦

Cool intro! This trip looks AWESOME! You guys did a great job at setting up the tent and can't believe you could get the big mattress in there! The scenery around you is just fantastic!! Wow that definitely looked like quite the workout. I think I would have jumped in the cold water to cool down too. Your air mattress looked pretty comfy. The sunrise looked so pretty there! Love the camp set up. I'm taking notes because we are planning to do a bunch of camping next year.
Lol, as long as you take notes from Craig’s parents setup and not ours 😂 the only thing we own for camping is an air mattress 😅
