Wow, the difference is huge. I just bought this keyboard so I'm gonna def do this too.
the cover just doesnt come off for me
I used a lot of effort… 😫
Hi, great video but just one question. On the non triple mode variant, the knob is not hot swappable. How did you go by removing it from the pcb. Thanks.
😅 I didn't know it wasn't hot-swappable so I broke it 🤣🤣🤣
how did you remove the plastic case?
It’s soooo hard to get off
It is possible tô get off?😊
You just pull real hard😂
i have this keyboard but when i try to remove my switches i can't get them to budge LOL it feels like i'm going to break it but i want to change them to milky yellows
I was frustrated when I tried to open it 😅
how many screws were on the back? I have the same keyboard but i cant manage to take off the cover like you did.
There were two screws on the back, and the cover was sturdy enough to be removed.
@@chictechlifestyle thank you!
I just realized that this is the Lite version with optical switches. This is a big drawback for me because optical switches cannot be replaced with regular ones. You would need to find aftermarket custom optical switches, which are quite rare.
Yes that's true. I'm new in this hoppy so I need to learn more about it 🥰
@@chictechlifestyle yeah the price difference of regular gk75 and the lite version you have with optical switches is significant. So I don't blame you choosing the cheaper option
You can actually mod the opticals yourself, just keep the leaf inside and the bottom, replace the spring, housing and stem and boom, basically a brand new switch.
Its not a mechanical keyboard Its an optical keyboard :)
oh I didn’t know that 😮
What switches did you originally get?
Gateron optical red
Where did you got the keyboard from ? Ali express?
On Amazon
What switches were stock in the keyboard?
Gateron optical red
You can choose beetwen red, blue, brown, yellow Gaterade or Skyloong Iceberg Yellow
Wait you didn't lube the switches?!?
Nope 😅
mine actually came pre-lubed! not the stabs sadly but it wasn't rattly, it just felt hollow so i could easily fix it.
Hi what is the best tape to use for modding keyboards?
I’m not an expert but I found this “Blue Painter's Tape is the most recommended and widely used tape for the modification” switchandclick.com/how-to-tempest-tape-mod-your-keyboard/#:~:text=Blue%20Painter's%20Tape%20is%20the,the%20tape%20from%20the%20PCB.
@@chictechlifestyle ok thank you
Hello. Do you still have this keyboard?
I’m using that
@@chictechlifestyle Please, could you answer me? ⸜(˶• ᵕ •˶)⸝
