Interesting story. I was born in '74 but I felt like I grew up watching The Brady bunch.
I love watching all the older shows like The Munsters, Adams family, Three's company, Perry Mason, Gomer Pyle, Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, Hee Haw, Andy Griffith show, Dick Van Dyke show and so on.
..... Can't forget about the Benny Hill show 😉

My brother and I are the same age as the Brady Bunch characters. The show was one of our favorites. We were raised by a single Mom who remarried. I often wished we had a stepfather who would be as loving and thoughtful as Mike Brady.

How was Irene Miracle launched into "superstardom" when I have never heard of her. Born in 65 and was glued to the TV. Being in 19 B-movies does not make one a superstar, it does not make one a star. Such poor word choice.

I think many of those that grew up watching this show would disagree with Maureen. I also was born in '56. So glad she was not allowed any creative control over the show's content. Narrator, stop defending her. All you do is destroy the image her character created. It is no different than all the big mouthed hollywood narcs of today, spewing their political and social ideas all over the internet. It ruins their movies for many of their fans. It makes them unconvincing in the roles they try to play. I agree with Kurt Russell. Actors are the court jestors. Their profession is to entertain their audience, without which, the actor would not exist. The world does not revolve around the actor.

Yes I watched The Brady bunch regularly and watched many many of the reruns.. I think this kids all wanted to be living in that house and having that kind of life even though it was just a fantasy.. we all had a crush on Marcia Brady.. but we also had a crush on Eve plumb.. until they "dorked her up.." . I believe that was done on purpose
I remember waiting for the Hawaii episode so we could see Marsha and Jan in a bikini ❤️❤️❤️..

I have a friend that's a true Rockstar and one night before a show I was doing inventory on tee-shirts and he was warming up his voice when I asked him about a song that most of you never heard unlike many you have heard on the radio. I said dude were you in your underwear eating a bowl of cereal when the Brady bunch song came on and you wrote.......... song ? He laughed so hard he couldn't breath and had tears coming out his eyes and as I helped him stand back up he said man I fucking love the Brady bunch. I kept it between us and won't say his name and out of all the rockstars I know he still has the best voice

19yrs old and 17yrs old are kids still living at home. Not everyone at that age is in a College Dorm. Many are still at home while working and going to School before branching out on their own so it was very Realistic. I agree they should've taken it further to include them evolving and Greg Brady transitioning to young Adult going on 20.

Jeez... even a tell-all story about the show's real-life cast (and their rebellious real-life attitudes) totally ignores the juiciest stuff, like the older kids wanting to look/act sexier... and experimenting with marijuana in real life. Greg & Marsha even got reputations for sleeping around and drugs. And of course, dad Robert Reed was openly gay. So this piece barely scratches the full truth. Just goes to show the difference between those times and now... where such things are now commonplace and open. My but times have really changed!

The famed Nielsen ratings were very light on actual data and only took a small statistical sampling across the country. They were not very accurate and could easily be manipulated.
My family was asked to do it one year. We did it for a while but it was tedious and we were a military family and we moved to a different base and were 'disqualified' from the program.

I watched the show and loved it. Robert Reed was always upright and serious. He was very strange, probably due to him having to have bedroom scenes with Florence. Maureen McCormick should have done the Midnight Express role. I saw that movie and Irene Miracle was lame in that role. Especially the visitation room scene and she never did anything after that. Maureen is an icon. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!!!!

Directors are stupid, unable to see an actor who played a well known character playing something else.
Leslie Neilson had always wanted to be a comedic actor, But it wasn't until 1980 (in a career that stretcher back to the early 50's) before he got the chance to do comedy. And he was amazing.

Both widowed?? I knew Mike's wife died, but I seem to recall Carol was divorced, because her husband ran off. (Didn't he show up in one of the movies?) The boys took to Carol, because they missed their mom. Alice was more like an aunt. The girls took to Mike, because they wanted a father who would love them. I may be misremembering.

When Cheryl Ladd first got the job on Charlie's Angels, she wore a bikini at least six times in first six months she was on the show. Just to make a point to Aaron Spelling that it was ridiculous to always have them in bikinis, she bought the smallest and skimpiest one she could find. And when she was warned that she was going to be fine by spelling productions for wearing the bikini, she said I don't care. That bikini made it to air. And it was the last time they forced her to wear bikini.

I find it interesting that you are talking about the show The Brady Bunch, but then you show clips from the movies that had a completely new cast. The different Marcia Brady's from the movies weren't Maureen McCormick. It had a remake years ago with all different actors that was good also, but sad that you had to use clips from it for about half of your video.
