Why are you showing clips from the 1995 Brady Bunch Movie with Christine Taylor playing Marcia?
I'm 53 and grew up watching the Brady bunch, Gilligan's Island, I love Lucy....great memories.
Interesting story. I was born in '74 but I felt like I grew up watching The Brady bunch.
I love watching all the older shows like The Munsters, Adams family, Three's company, Perry Mason, Gomer Pyle, Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, Hee Haw, Andy Griffith show, Dick Van Dyke show and so on.
..... Can't forget about the Benny Hill show 😉
I’m Chinese and I love the Brady bunch shows 😊. Then again I also love Different strokes, Marry With Children, Night Court and South Park.
My brother and I are the same age as the Brady Bunch characters. The show was one of our favorites. We were raised by a single Mom who remarried. I often wished we had a stepfather who would be as loving and thoughtful as Mike Brady.
As a kid the show wasn’t my favorite and way past it’s time but watching the reruns I had a huge crush on Marcia 😂
Pork chops and apple sauce !!! Groovy man !!!! Out of sight man !!!!
I was born in 1970 and loved this show! It was corny but the Brady Bunch movies brought back memories Year’s later.
Despite being born in 97’, my
siblings and I would run to the tv to watch this show. It’s funny how old shows catch up to the youth.
I watched the show during the reruns for years. It's like comfort food
How was Irene Miracle launched into "superstardom" when I have never heard of her. Born in 65 and was glued to the TV. Being in 19 B-movies does not make one a superstar, it does not make one a star. Such poor word choice.
I'm glad they played it safe and kept The Brady Bunch's squeaky clean image. That's why everyone liked the show so much.
I remember watching the Brady Bunch in the 70,s it was a great show
It would be interesting to see how well Maureen would have been in a series like Three's Company.
I think many of those that grew up watching this show would disagree with Maureen. I also was born in '56. So glad she was not allowed any creative control over the show's content. Narrator, stop defending her. All you do is destroy the image her character created. It is no different than all the big mouthed hollywood narcs of today, spewing their political and social ideas all over the internet. It ruins their movies for many of their fans. It makes them unconvincing in the roles they try to play. I agree with Kurt Russell. Actors are the court jestors. Their profession is to entertain their audience, without which, the actor would not exist. The world does not revolve around the actor.
I remember watchin this show with my parents growing up. They used to love it! Well, I did as well when I was ahh young pup. I was born in '84. & I remember this on the TV 📺 all the time growing up. This was a great explanation of the show. Thanks for sharing & takin us down memory lane.
Although Marsha was a close second I wanted Laurie Partridge.........
I was an apprentice at a cement factory in south africa when this show was on tv..ironically thers was a Scottish family Brodie who had 5 kids..so you can imagine the fun we had comparing them to the show..great day's
Loved the iconic show, especially since there weren’t as many shows available at the time as there are now. It had a charismatic, happy, feeling watching the show.
I was a bit older than two of my brothers, so it was not a regular show I watched. If all the family was watching I'd join in. Loved Alice and the architecture of the main floor.
I also was one of those kids that that while I was too young to remember when it was originally on,I remember every day watching it after doing homework after coming home from school back in 77 or 78..Was 10.. man I would loved to have seen this show continue on and not ended way it did! ❤❤❤
I used to watch the syndication after school everyday when I was "coming of age" only because I was madly in love with Marsha!
I'm the same age as as the actresses that played Marsha and Jan, so I could see new episodes. We actually had the same dining room chairs that they had! My favorite reruns of all were Gilligan's Island episodes.
I loved watching the Brady bunch ❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed watching the Brady Bunch.
I definitely dug Marcia, but being only 10 when the show aired I had no idea what to do with her if I actually had her.
Marsha Marsha Marsha! 🤣🤣🤣
I have and always will love the original Brady Bunch. We watched it always and was very disappointed when it ended. It reminded us of our family; three boys and three girls. I miss those days. Family Moments.
Yes I watched The Brady bunch regularly and watched many many of the reruns.. I think this kids all wanted to be living in that house and having that kind of life even though it was just a fantasy.. we all had a crush on Marcia Brady.. but we also had a crush on Eve plumb.. until they "dorked her up.." . I believe that was done on purpose
I remember waiting for the Hawaii episode so we could see Marsha and Jan in a bikini ❤️❤️❤️..
As a child, I watched the reruns of the show every day and loved it. This show made me become an actress as I admired Marsha and Jan so much and wanted roles just like them. It was a great show with such a positive message and the highlight of my day as a young child.
You know Marsha and Greg were bangin offset.
Marcia marcia marcia one of the prettiest teenage girl ever on tv❤❤😊😊jpp
“It’s always Marcia! Marcia!! Marcia!!!” 😂
I have a friend that's a true Rockstar and one night before a show I was doing inventory on tee-shirts and he was warming up his voice when I asked him about a song that most of you never heard unlike many you have heard on the radio. I said dude were you in your underwear eating a bowl of cereal when the Brady bunch song came on and you wrote.......... song ? He laughed so hard he couldn't breath and had tears coming out his eyes and as I helped him stand back up he said man I fucking love the Brady bunch. I kept it between us and won't say his name and out of all the rockstars I know he still has the best voice
I fell in love with all the Brady Bunch Girls while growing up in the 1970's
Marcia marcia marcia. Hehe xo 💜💜💜 when i was young I had the hots for her big time xo 💜💜💜💜
19yrs old and 17yrs old are kids still living at home. Not everyone at that age is in a College Dorm. Many are still at home while working and going to School before branching out on their own so it was very Realistic. I agree they should've taken it further to include them evolving and Greg Brady transitioning to young Adult going on 20.
I liked the role she played in that episode of Happy Days as a bad girl and her friends who used Richie and his friends just make their actual boyfriends jealous
Old Mike liked Sam bringing the meat more than Alice😮
I had a HUGE CRUSH on Marcia
Well, I'm 75 years old, and I can promise you girls in the 70's were, how can i say this delicately, and very fondly, open to experimentation.
Jeez... even a tell-all story about the show's real-life cast (and their rebellious real-life attitudes) totally ignores the juiciest stuff, like the older kids wanting to look/act sexier... and experimenting with marijuana in real life. Greg & Marsha even got reputations for sleeping around and drugs. And of course, dad Robert Reed was openly gay. So this piece barely scratches the full truth. Just goes to show the difference between those times and now... where such things are now commonplace and open. My but times have really changed!
Marsha the fantasy of many young boys
The famed Nielsen ratings were very light on actual data and only took a small statistical sampling across the country. They were not very accurate and could easily be manipulated.
My family was asked to do it one year. We did it for a while but it was tedious and we were a military family and we moved to a different base and were 'disqualified' from the program.
Marcia..Marcia..Marcia..Loved the Brady Bunch growing up..Loved Maureen Mcormick Marcia She was.and still Hot ....All there episodes were Great..Never got tired of watching the Bradys..One of my Favorites..You had..Sandford and Son..Funny as all H.....And others not mentioned.Great Shows..❤️❤️❤️😁💯💯
Robert Reed might have been hard to work with but he did save the cast for getting hit by a big camera filming the roller coaster scenes at Kings Island.
It had to have BEEN VERY DIFFICULT for these BUDDING TEENAGERS to LIVE in the same 🏠 going through puberty. And the boys and girls were not BLOOD RELATED.
She was right, however, she was a very good actress and will always be loved.
Brady Bunch was not a huge hit in its initial showing. It became super popular after they began syndicating it, a few years after its last episode. That happens with a lot of sitcoms.
I watched the show and loved it. Robert Reed was always upright and serious. He was very strange, probably due to him having to have bedroom scenes with Florence. Maureen McCormick should have done the Midnight Express role. I saw that movie and Irene Miracle was lame in that role. Especially the visitation room scene and she never did anything after that. Maureen is an icon. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!!!!
My favorite show when I was a kid still is. Stop Showing scenes from the brain movie.😮
I watched the Brady Bunch for the first time in 1972, I was 5 years old, story lines were good for that time, As far as Robert Reed and his Diva behavior about the strawberries and all, I think he was frustrated with playing the same role every year just like Maureen was.
But Marsha was sooo sweet back in the day...
I wanted Marsha.....
.AND JAN!
Robert Reed had other issues beyond his divaness. His personal life was kept mum at the time, but it came out later.
Gilligans island was my favorite
It has been years since I watched this but watched it I think just because it was on TV and in 1975 I was 9 years old and watched this on a Black and White TV.
Yes I watched the show as a fan. Everything was really good.
I loved the show
...I have arachnophobia from the Brady's trip to Hawaii, my mom says the first time she remembers me being scared of spiders was after I saw that episode.
i probably watched more Brady Bunch and Threes Company than all the other shows of that era.
*Keep it in the Family! THE BRADY BUNCH!*
I grew up watching The Brady bunch. Loved the show. To most of kids growing up in the 60's and 70's it was the ideal parents of which most of never had. and a course had a hugh crush on Marcia.
I liked the Brady bunch as a kid, I was 4 when the series ended, so mostly I watched reruns.
I liked this as a kid from the 70's only having 5 seasons when it finished where lucky to get that for today tv shows
Marcia done a great job as Barbara Mandrel.she jump out as Marcia...she done a super job playing Barbara...
❤I thought the Brady Bunch show was way too corny and unrealistic. Then came Married with Children and lighting struck. ❤
About Robert Reed's diva behavior, I was shocked by it!
I watched as a young kid in the 70's . They lost men when they started all the trips and especially the singing stuff . I found that lame .
Im 58 years old and yes about the same age a cindy brady shes i think 3 years old then i but yeah i grew up watching it .
Directors are stupid, unable to see an actor who played a well known character playing something else.
Leslie Neilson had always wanted to be a comedic actor, But it wasn't until 1980 (in a career that stretcher back to the early 50's) before he got the chance to do comedy. And he was amazing.
I was a rerun kid, but this was a stable of my childhood
I quite frankly like the Partridge Family the best.
Guess I missed the little extra.
Either Maureen didn't have an agent or she got bad advice. She should have changed her look and auditioned under a pseudonym. Most of the best actors have done this at one time or another.
I was a Jan fan.
Now days if they come out with a show like this, it would be something like Bobby turns gay, Peter is a cross dresser, Greg and Marcia sleeping with each other, and Cindy and Jane run away to Vegas 😊.
Just loved watching as a kid and watching reruns
Marsha could've run off with a hippie musician. Later falling in with the girls of the Manson cult at Spahn Ranch.
Or something like that.
I love the movies! I mean it was spot on casted. Great stuff 😂
Both widowed?? I knew Mike's wife died, but I seem to recall Carol was divorced, because her husband ran off. (Didn't he show up in one of the movies?) The boys took to Carol, because they missed their mom. Alice was more like an aunt. The girls took to Mike, because they wanted a father who would love them. I may be misremembering.
Yes they should have made episode of them leaving home etra
I love the show
When Cheryl Ladd first got the job on Charlie's Angels, she wore a bikini at least six times in first six months she was on the show. Just to make a point to Aaron Spelling that it was ridiculous to always have them in bikinis, she bought the smallest and skimpiest one she could find. And when she was warned that she was going to be fine by spelling productions for wearing the bikini, she said I don't care. That bikini made it to air. And it was the last time they forced her to wear bikini.
I’m always amazed at actors that take a job that makes them famous and then complaining about it the rest of their lives.
I love ❤️ the show
I like this narrator 👍
Also Robert Reed played a LT. on the cop show Mannix in the late 60's. They even used the Brady living room in a few episodes, they just changed some pictures and different paint on the walls. I still watch reruns on Paramount plus and MeTV.
what episodes were they? I need to watch.
I love how they complain about a show that launched their career, only to find out it was their short lived career.
I still watch it and I am 70.
Yes i was a child and watched religious
I find it interesting that you are talking about the show The Brady Bunch, but then you show clips from the movies that had a completely new cast. The different Marcia Brady's from the movies weren't Maureen McCormick. I don't know why TH-cam keeps suggesting your videos to me, as your facts and/or your provided visual content tend to be unreliable.
The 70s were simpler times and the networks were still censored somewhat
Now I'm hungry for stuffed pork chops with apples....!
Nice coverage and nice film clips. I was captivated by the show when I was in school!
The X-Files did an episode involving The Brady Bunch and the house.
I watched the show in reruns a lot as a kid. It was great.
It had a remake years ago with all different actors that was good also, but sad that you had to use clips from it for about half of your video. Still a good story about the show I guess.Cindy was my crush in her teen years on a reunion thin they did. She was closer to my age in real life. Maureen was 10 years older than me.
I grew up watching The Brady Bunch and I got the DVD's and my Son also knew the show very well it was a great show but as a kid, I never knew any behind the sense stuff that went on it was always just the show learning these things is interesting but doesn't change how much I loved the show as a Kids and even now
Ohhhh Marcia
