      @@pumpkineater23 At the beginning of the video, the police are seen respectfully requesting at least three times for the procession not to be followed. At 3:30 seconds into the video, Mr. Gideon is seen attempting to go behind the procession, ignoring the police's advice. The police were able to stop him physically. Any law-abiding citizen would never accept such behaviour towards the police. It is extremely provocative.

If the police with reasonable suspicion decide in the interests of keeping the peace it is better for an individual to not be allowed in a certain place at a certain time they can lawfully deny them access. Face it this guy is a trouble maker at a peaceful demonstration and the police prevented him from causing trouble. I believe yesterday a man named Tommy Robinson was in court for a similar incident when he was arrested with the support of Gideon Falter.     The intent of the officer seemed to be good. Offered to help the man cross elsewhere with his safety in mind. We can throw around should this be necessary and all that, and in a perfect world, no it should not be. But things arent perfect, the man did seem to be observed walking against the crowd, he was possibly putting himself and others at risk at changing a protest from relatively peaceful into something more dangerous.
    If he truly just wanted to cross the road, accept the officers recommendation of crossing further down, with an escort if he even desired, and go on with the day.

Poor choice of words but he was in a difficult situation with a demonstration behind him and a snowflake agitator in front of him.

      If you try to insinuate that protesting groups are not peaceful but dangerous mob, it is obvious these are peaceful marches, within law and protected by law of UK! Any small pockets of extremists and provocations successfully dealt with our beloved police officers. They are doing a fantastic job in difficult circumstances.
      This man cannot and shouldn’t be allowed in the protesting groups and thats that! There are ways to apply for counterpart protest requests and is taking place many times. Everyone should do what they are told jews or muslims I don’t care!
      The officers do not act on their personal political views but simply enforce the law! NOONE should put our officers in compromising situation🇬🇧

      By not allowing him to cross, for his “own safety”, they are admitting that the protesters are the potential aggressors and if a protest if deemed to be a danger to public safety, the Police have a duty to shut it down.     Honestly the guy should have just waited to cross. Anyone with common sense would have just waited or asked a police officer if there was another way across. I remember when the london riots were going on a police unit were marching down to stop the rioters and looters from blazing up north, and there were a few police officiers 50 metres ahead who kindly instructed people to step aside so they can pass and for us to head home for our safety. Honestly it makes sense.

If a police officer determined from a Muslim that his actions were spurious and he intended to provoke trouble then the same thing would happen. He actually asked to be arrested and the officer refused. But should he be detained for breach of the peace he would probably simply be released at another place or time.

    Whenever I have to cross the road in St James area and London Marathon or something similar is taking place- the police are clear - there are specific crossing points and so one has to detour a bit further to cross. One just does it. You DONT argue with the police. They are there to create law and order and I respect that.
