Thank you for this word !!! My husband just had a partial gastrectomy and we have much to learn about how to improve his new eating and lifestyle. He has also had a recurring cancer diagnosis and this is the best way for longevity we were told to be a second time cancer survivor. The Lord bless you and yes ,I am with you about the new cancer treatments success out there today
I’m glad you are still so positive. My best friend passed away 2 years ago. He had his stomach removed and was told he was cancer free. He struggled so much after the surgery though. I spoke to him the day he passed. He told me he was tired and would call me later. He fell asleep and never woke up. I was so angry because I felt he given up. I miss him so much. Please stay positive and don’t ever give in. Fight. One day, there will be a cure for all cancers. Bless you.
I was filled with positive energy after watching this. I'm fighting lung cancer that just exploded with chemo. Now I'm looking into other treatments that may help. God bless you and hold you close. Peace
As a colon cancer survivor I agree looking forward and not being defined by your cancer is a healthy and life prolonging attitude, many blessings for your recovery path! 🦋
Well done,strong woman!What a nice,positive personality!A real fighter!My husband,53 now had his TG due to cancer,stage 3, în 2013.Ups and downs but he is a warrior and us,wife and son,always with him.Best wishes!
I have been feeling sorry for myself because I have autoimmune disease and have to take medication everyday but after watching your video, I feel positive and looking forward to doing all the things I want to do.
Thank you for your wonderful personality and inspiring story. I was just diagnosed with stomach cancer and the doctor wants to do a total stomach removal. After see your video, I'm ready for whatever it takes to live a long and full life. Be strong and be blessed
Thank you for sharing your story. I wish you good health, always. I had a total gastrectomy in 2017 due to a CDH1 mutation. My recovery process- the ups and downs - was similar to yours. I’m doing better now but it is often hard to eat without having a blood sugar problem. Your positivity and humor are so appreciated. Will say a prayer for your health 🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing your story. I am 9 months post Gastrectomy and it is still a challenge. Sorry to hear of the reccurance but don't despair as we speak, GIST researchers are working hard to give treatment options. I pray they find one for you soon. Your positive spirit will see you through. My blessings are with you 🙏
@@jakobselman1404I had the Total Gastrectomy just over a year ago and the food goes directly into your intestines where it is digested. But you can only eat small meals more often than you would if you had a stomach and you will never eat normally again. You have to accept the fact that without this surgery you will definitely die of cancer.
@@imgerrydee Is it possible to just get all your nutrition from complete protein shakes? That way everything is already broken down into the components as it would normally arrive in your intestines. Also how are you doing now?
Well I had the sleeve surgery and my doctor was aggressive but I eat fine just not a lot at once. I just had a endoscopy and my surgeon said it looks great but you have a tube basically attached to esophagus. I lost right at one hundred pounds. I feel much better and I loved food but I’m ok now with just a few bites.
Thank you so very much for sharing your story!!! You're a Superwoman and a Super Survivor!!!! May God continue to bless and keep you Dear1!!!!! Love and Blessings
Awwwww, you're wonderful!! I had small bowel gist 9cm tumour resected in June 2021. It is so great to meet you through your video here. Thank you for sharing your story. 💜
Please, can anyone let me know if there is any clinical trial being carried out at this moment, which could become a new protocol against GIST. Thank you very much
My dad recently got a partial gastrectomy. He has stomach cancer. Part of his stomach about ⅞ of it was removed. He's having the side effects . Lost so much weight, he has occasional hiccups, he's mostly always fatigued.
the question is how long have you been living without a stomach, I'm 5 months into recovery and it's going very hard, I'm not sure if I'll succeed, how long did it take you to recover?
Hello, Hope you are doing well and this message finds that they have a treatment plan for you. I To had the majority of my stomach remove along with my Esophagus valve removed a few years ago. Recently found that I have a almost 9 center meter Gist tumor on my right lung, that they have decided to try and avoid surgery and treat with I matinib . Curious as to why Imatinib is not an option. Once again hope if you are getting this message that you are doing well and may God bless you and those around you
Hello.. after 2 years of not being able to swallow correctly I was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. I have no tumors. My cancer attacked my stomach like a spider web instead and the docs thought it was achalasia. I am now on chemo and the stomach etc... will be removed this July. Do you feel satisfied when you eat, or is it like work?

So strong 💪 may I ask do you get an artificial replacement stomac? Where does the food go?
The food goes from the esophagus to the small intestines. There are no artificial organs…
Wishing you well
