I discovered your music this last October, and I have been in love with it since then!! I am incredibly excited for you to release another album! I was wondering, who are some of your fashion influences, and how have you developed your sense of style over time?
It’s really fascinating if you imagine the video from the perspective that the book is his past experiences/trauma, the woman is the part of his brain that tries to take the memories for him & suppress them, & the wizard is the subconscious taking over his behavior because he doesn’t have access to his past mentally. When he fights to regain control from the wizard, he takes back the book from the woman. Ultimately, he still has to carry his trauma, but he also regains control of his actions.
I love that Gus Dapperton create his own style , his own world , the music , his voice , the choreography , it’s really empowering ! It’s so true when we are creative and do things differently, many people will try to block you, it is not an easy road. That’s what I feel watching the clip .
