This was my first ever EYK video (aka simonandmartina) I remember the night I found it.. I was in my comfy round green chair and my laptop. Scrolling through TH-cam. And I been hooked since. 2012. I would do anything to go back to that time. Man times flies so fast

Heard the name of the glutinous rice one and was like, oh my gosh, that will be delicious, Simon.
And I was right! Anything containing glutinous rice is pretty much the best.
I had a glutinous rice apple pie stick thing at Dunkin Donuts in Seoul once and it made my mouth quite happy.

Here in Brazil there is donuts, but what is more common is what americans call filled doughnut (the ones without a hole in the middle). We call them "sonhos" (dreams). The best flavor to me is Dulce de Leche (I didn't know they called this way in english, but the wikipedia calls it). In fact, everything dulce de leche's flavored tastes great... ice cream, churros, etc. You should all try!

Im from Quincy Massachusetts, which is the home of the first Dunkin Donuts, and we have seasonal donuts, like lemonade and key lime, we also have apple pie, pumpkin spice, chocolate brownie batter (my favorite), and the infamous Boston Creme. They even have fancy pastries and sandwiches. these flavors are new to me

no, but (in my country) we have two different type of rice, the normal one (which we use for making savory food) and glutinous one (usually for dessert), therefore there are two types of rice flour as well! the glutinous rice is more sticky and chewy, while the normal one is less sticky and not chewy. we think that the sushi rice is kinda in between rice and glutinous rice, if that gives you more illustration.

I went to the Mister Donut in Japan and they had "mochi donuts" that looks like the "Chewisty". It's made of mochi flour (glutinous rice flour) and I LOVE the chewiness. I also love that 'Asian' doughnuts seem less sweet and they have so many interesting flavour combos (some fail, but a lot are good!).
The word "glutinous" doesn't sound very appealing - true (guttural sounds usually don't), but I associate it with deliciousness due to my love for mochi. =)

@wontonsipodhelp um actually, the earthquake affected countries as far as the United States. SK wasn't affected by it (one of the only neighboring countries of japan that hasn't) because Japan tends to protect SK from tsunamis and earthquakes geographically given that they're from Japan's east side

The glutinous rice donut is made of the same type of rice flour used for ddukbokki. It's not necessarily "gluten-filled", but it's given the name simply because it's sticky :)
