This was great fun building a lighthouse!! Maybe you forgot to put a roof on the top and the lantern went into the top section? But it's a great thing to build out of only island supplies!!! you're ingenious!! It makes the palm fronds all lit up!! :)

Sl1pg8r you should have a lantern on every level of the tower to have a tower of Light and maybe even keep adding lanterns to see how bright you can get it . Thumbs up if you agree
Where does usually the sun/moon goes up and where does it usually go down? Check this with your situation on the island with your compass. @ 10:00 i can see the moon rising in North-North-West direction. This means the map has been turned +/-120 degrees anti clockwise. So the North of the map shown in menu should be @ +/- 240 degrees (South-West) in game (on compass). That should also be the reason why the yellow balls on the edge of the map doesnt line up with North-South (or East-West).
Sl1p8r - I would recommend making the tower a bit lower and then put the lantern there. Another idea is, instead of a lantern, use a fire pit and only light it when you leave your island so you don't rum out of sticks. shout outs!

+rachet ho! Is there a maximum size for compasses? Have you ever seen an old shipcompass, that is a compass i would call huge. And with a bigger compass you have more precision compared with a tiny compass.
I think this beamland youre trying to find is a whole world... Like in the menu i think you literally need to click on that tile to be put into that specific world... Goodluck on your adventures
couldnt you use the sun to work out where north is it rises in the east sets in the west so that would make north on the side of your island where the duke shack is

Anyone else notice the moon rising in the north? In fact it seemed to be a bit off of north. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it is off the same amount as the rest of the edges of the map.

I still can't understand why they changed the trees, back when it was first launched you could cut them down for sticks and you also could climb on top of the palm fronds to use the binocs to look for islands, now we don't even need leaves to make walls with leaves
Why wont you build campfire up there cause if the lanter goes off sometimes its whatever if you put campfire there it gives more light and it lasts long if you stack lots of wood in there. (It works very good i have tried it)
+Set Lemons he tried it in one of the earlier episodes of this season and it does not work anymore... they have done several updates since the first season and they added/ got rid of a lot of things

Slip i think you should take one level off the light house that way you would be able to place the lantern better.
sl1p also place a fire up there it ives a smoke signal and it lights up the smoke a night
