  • 🤔 What does a kindergarten, two legendary women, a Chief Elf Officer and the Victorian Honour Roll of Women have in common in creating a world-first?!
Enter two expert women, Emeritus Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor Marilyn Fleer and Aishwarya Kansakar, who first met when they were being inducted to the 2022 Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
Both passionate about encouraging girls to engage in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), they decided to work together to come up with an early learning program that would teach children about manufacturing, robotics and automation. 🏭🤖
Why? Because “By the age of three, young children start to recognise whether STEM is for them or not.” 🔬⚙️👩‍💻📐
The result of their collaboration is a world-first initiative that makes learning complex STEM concepts accessible and fun for kinder kids, so they can have access to career paths in STEM when they’re older.
    🧪🥼🧬
If you know an inspiring Victorian woman like Marilyn or Aishwarya, who has made a lasting and significant contribution at a local, state, national or international level, you can nominate them to be an inductee into the 2024 Victorian Honour Roll of Women. Self-nominations are also encouraged!
Nominate by 5 May at: www.vic.gov.au/honour-roll-women
