Started collecting Silver Age Omnibuses. Of the four I have, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, Cap is my favourite. All out action and plenty of macho jawing, it sure is fun!
If you think Stan Lee's German dialogue is hilarious in Cap's stories, you should check out "Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos". My brother and I have a running joke in regard to Stan and Jack's constant use of phrases such as "Vas-Ist-Los", "Ach-du-Lieber", "Amerikaner Schwein-Hund" and "Ver-man-Dant Commandos". 🤣
I don’t know for sure, but the titles began to be really good when Iron man and captain America go their own series. Also new writers and artists came in with new ideas. So volume 2 starts the good stuff
Beautiful looking collection, I have an early epic collection that has some of these issues but I’ll need to keep an eye out if this ever comes back for reprint 😍
Hi, do you like any of the DC silver age?? I think "silver" means different things for Marvel and DC, for marvel is mostly character development and for DC is mostly the multiverse concept here and there with plainer characters.
I've read some silver age DC but haven't particularly enjoyed it, I much prefer Marvel from that era. I tend to read DC from Crisis on Infinite Earths onwards
Ooh thanks for doing this one. Silver age Kirby is all high on my wish list.

Seems like fluent German to me!

Yeah I'd agree with that overall
This was great. I'll probably pass even if it's available at some point, but the Steranko art alone is really tempting :)
Those issues are a real highlight of the book!
This was the last printing. It's available on Amazon though the price is a little on the higher side.
Good to know it's still available in some places

Yeah well worth checking out for some early Cap adventures!
@@TheComicBookTrove thanks for sharing :)

They sure did like using yellow ink in these early cap titles
I've got this very book albeit in a very special one of a kind edition.
That's all I'm saying as I don't want it nicked...
Well that's intriguing! Sounds like it must be cool though!
