After 25 years of me listening to Bad Religion, owning every CD they've released - I can say that they nailed this album in a similar manner as 'The New America", "Recipe for Hate", "Generator", "No Control" - do you agree folks?

Lagwagon and Millencolin..they came back with incredibile energy and fresh stuff.
There...those I used to love like crazy, those I still listen to now after 30.
The rest either went the other ways, became crap, or somebody died or something.

every song is so well crafted. they nailed this one for sure. such emotion and precision throughout the record.
This is different. I absolutely love that acoustic intro, I can hear that punk attitude in Greg's voice!
reminiscent of "Come Join Us" a bit, or "This is Only a Test" by Pennywise
For me, good punk songs sounds alway like someone is telling the hidden truth, it's so true with a band like Band Religion and greg's voice, something very spiritual in it, maybe a bit paradoxical but i dont think so, since he does not preach
End of History, Age of Unreason and Candidate are my top three on this album.

I've been a Bad Religion fan for 22 years. I've enjoyed their entire discography many times over. This is in the top 10 for sure. Maybe top 5 all-time.

@@HnyBdgrTheWtnss I'm 34 - that year I started riding skate and rollers with some older punk-rockers of your and older generations. I discovered this specific punk-rock sound and my first 3 bands - Bad Religion, NOFX and Pennywise. Didn't wanna hear bout anything else after that till after my 20th.
Those and a little few more stayed with me and shall stay.

This reminds me of their best albums, the Suffer period, way more than any other album since No Control. Such an amazing album here. They still got it, and aren't afraid to take on some serious issues we face today. Just mindblowing how they just keep on killing it! So glad I discovered them over 20 years ago, they have been an essential band for me since then. KEEP IT UP!

The “slumber” of 2019
I was so bummed that Bad Religion didn’t play this song in Denver last night, but I am grateful for the high-energy show that they did put on. Anytime I’m stuck in the doldrums life tends to throw, I turn to their music to cope and sometimes escape. There’s something moving about their music that transcends language. It’s a warmth that words cannot describe. To call it “priceless” would be an understatement. Thank you.

Oh my goodness. It took me a minute to come around but this song is brilliant.
I never really got into bad religion, I dunno why. This album is fantastic. I definitely need to revisit their old stuff.
Their old stuff is better than this. Or perhaps Im just blinded by nostalgia and they were never subtle at all.
You have some great times ahead then! So much fantastic music.
Maybe check out The Process of Belief or Stranger Than Fiction. Or No Control. Or Against the Grain. Or The Empire Strikes First. Fuck! They're all such great albums in my personal opinion.

I really love this song because even though it is obviously written about Trump, it also broadly applies to politics in general. America has become more secular, but politics have replaced religion. Same dogmatic thinking, same god/devil complex, false prophets, saviors, us vs. them, etc. Fascinating, but sad. Hopefully humans can evolve beyond this, but I have my doubts...

@@shawnleeguku I really think this song was written as a general overview of most, if not all, the candidates on both sides. Definitely Trump, but also a lot of the shenanigans from the Dems. The lyric, "a Hermaphrodite in rest rooms and service stations" is not something Trump is pushing for. As well as the lyric, "I salute an empty flag of ancient tribalism", this could be easily applied to the ideologies of either party. Probably more aggressively from the Left today, as I can have a conversation with a conservative and not be ridiculed for how I disagree with them. But after having conversations with several Democrats in recent years I've not only received a verbal lashing, I've also recieved a residual effect of them spreading my opinions to there Lefty friends who also made there tribalism-like disapproval of my views known to me.

I don't like the drums and the mixing for it sucks in all tracks. The drummer has a lack of attitude and ambition , I don't like it. Boring style and poor technical skills. Punk does not need complex shit , that's truth , but you can do simple stuff and being a good support to the band anyway. I love this track but the drumming ruins it all. I miss Brocks. He is doing a sick job on Avenged Sevenfold tho.
I do agree Brooks or even Bobby Schayer would be better on this track.
Oh come on, don't say "it ruins all" - there is a certain lack of technique for us who can hear it (I'm a guitarist, singer and a drummer and I played in a punk-rock band for years before I became a scientist).
This is allright, we might not hear drum steppingups and speedups and transitions as wild and rich as in "I Want to Conquer the World" or "Only Entertainment" - but the album is FUCKING GREAT MAN !
