You are my hero Sir, there is a lot of enthusiasm and excitement in me after watching you and your dance, you are requested to keep making videos of popping dance in the same way so that we also get a little help.
Hi Dokyun! I love your videos! I have been practising popping for almost a year. I have some basics and skills. I love to freestyle along with any music. Do you have any suggestion about freestyle? I feel that all my freestyles look very similar.
yeah first i cannot all understand what u mean but i think is not problem from music ! cuz just my think the freestyle is not just freedom ! bcuz already say free style ! so u can free in some style !! thats why if u want popping u can try to practice popping style from some popping music !! sorry about all i understand what u mean ! just i guess !! Thank you !!
@@VinceIsNotWorking (I'm a girl 😂 💔) Well.. Freestyle is a dance style where you are free to use any type of moves and combine them together. It's natural that you might repeat some of them which would make it look very similar. It's because you reached your current limit of known moves. If you want to get better and have more options i suggest you to simply learn new moves ^^ you can try to learn from actual choreographies. This way you would memorize some moves in a fun way 😉
There indeed are a few things he missed to translate, but I can assure you that the most important parts were put into subtitles. 😉 Is there anything you're confused about?
Here's everything you need to know about tutting Your body has natural lines, each angle and pose your body is in will make different lines. You can add more lines by using more body parts or by bending at the joints. For example straight arm is 1 line, now bend the arm and you have 2 lines, now bend the wrist you have 3 lines. You can isolate a line and do fixed line. You can move different body parts at different times and in different directions to create different lines and make shapes 3D. With tutting you have 2D and 3D, with 2D meaning it's flat or can only be seen from 1 view and 3D tutting is making the shape use the space and anatomical planes around you. You can think of 2D tutting as like arrows left, right, up and down. With 3D tutting you add forwards, backwards and turning in full 360 degrees around you to start using the whole space around you almost like a rubix cube. The maximum total of lines you can do with your body is 12 and you have to be laying on the ground to do all 12 lines at a time. You can add more lines by using objects around you or by having a partner to create extra lines, the more people or objects you have the more lines you can do. There is different types of tutting like finger tutting, flying tuts, box tuts, trace tuts, toyman tuts, connecting, etc... Toyman tuts is using the style toyman like tutting it's just basic angles and shapes that a toy could do. Connecting is a concept of continuous motion to connect 1 move to the next move. Trace tuts mean using your other hand or body part to trace the line of your tut this is really good for connecting tuts to form continuous motion for example you can do 1 tut then trace with your other hand to your elbow and then your next tut starts from your elbow. It's important to know how your body can move and what parts of the body to move. Each body part forms different lines, but it's the joints of the body which make you move in different directions and you can trace a tut to your elbow or wrist and then continuous into other styles like waving from where you are tracing. But wait there's more, now you know all the lines of your body let's talk about the negative space around you. You can use invisible lines and space around you for example think of it like mime you can use gestures to give the illusion of a shape or object as well as isolation. You can isolate a point and move your body around the point or you can isolate your body and move a point around. There is a concept called grid tutting which uses the negative space around you basically it's an invisible imaginary grid I recommend watching kai soceles as he has good videos on the grid. Back to negative space, instead of forming a box with your body you can do just a right angle which gives the illusion of a box instead of using a full box. This works with most shapes like a ball, a triangle or any lines in general as long as you use your body to show motion and shapes or lines. An example would be writing your name in the air with your finger, you're forming the motion of the letters without actually writing anything you can do the same with tutting. You can use scales with tutting, a scale is just a repeated motion that brings you back to the start and can be repeated I recommend looking at Houdoken from dark matter he explains scales well. With tutting you can use flexibility I would recommend following some yoga pages on instagram as they show you a lot of different lines and poses which have really cool and creative lines you can use for tutting although there's a style called flexing or bonebreaking that uses flexibility with tutting too the benefit of this is not being limited by the movement of your body such as shapes behind your back it gives you more variety and movement. Last I will talk about perspective, you can lay on the ground and turn the body to the side or rotate shapes to give them a different perspective. Laying on the ground is also good to do some tuts you can't do standing up like with the legs. A cool trick you can try is using a mirror to change the perspective of tuts or even a split screen effect in a webcam / video editing program. Sadeck also has a lot of creative ideas he has done with tutting perspective such as recording a video on his phone or by changing the angles of the cameras to birds eye view and more.
