Was there from the beginning with 26 Armoured Engineer Sqn as part of the Lead Armoured Battle Group. Ended up in Pristina after harbouring in an old chicken factory during a thunder storm on the first day/night. I did 3 tours of Kosovo eventually. Feels like a world away now.
Myself and wife visited kosovo and pristina twice now , the legacy you left is still there today and the love shown towards us was incredible. Kosovo is a beautiful country witb beautiful people
Those Thunderbolts were not so effective on the ground, as You think they were.. we saved our Igla, Shilo and Strela2M MLRSs for the "Final count down" ... As our other ground to air missiles... Only 1/4 was used in 3 months of heavy bombardment... Rest was saved to protect our ground troops, that (as You know) we're almost untouched...(only some 4 tanks, 8bmps, and few artillery pieces were actually hit in 3 months). So we were hoping to engage in the final clash! We were crying leaving Kosovo, because politicians didn't allow us to confront you guys, just a little, to test our capabilities ... Even 25 yrs after, we involved, regret about that loss... :(

As we can see today - excellent! It's not important that they are Muslims, if most of them were honest, we are all people on our planet ...but... Nah, I will not speak much, You can research on your own... Regards from Serbia (and one of the Serbian (Yugo at the time) conscripts involved from the beginning... If you want to look with your eyes open, you can do it (today, over Internet) research, and find (more or less) accurate conclusions... About Yugo '90ies wars, influence from abroad, why, who, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, religions... (but less than other stuff), money, drugs, personal gain, etc. ;) Research, but try to be independent... Check some videos, that can't be found so easily now online, even me can't find them as used... Hmmm .. and read "lessons learned from NATO reports", it's an important comparison... ;)

I was there with 2RRF from feb 2000 until September 2000 . Was on Bosnia in 99 when Kosovo kicked off
Kosovo they respect an army and airforce even more a soldier.
