This Karmic justice system is based on the notion of complete interdependence. Complete interdependence is the OPPOSITE of free agency. Therefore this justice system DEBUNKS the very notion of free agency that is required to make it valid. This is the death of Law of Karma.

you can't free yourself from karma by doing meditation. For deliverance from karma, you need to perfectly fulfil the duties prescribed by karma. But no human can do so. So Jesus who is God's own Son, came in human form, to take all our punishment upon Himself on the cross & fulfilled karma on our behalf. Only by believing Jesus can you be delivered from karma.

Michael where can i get the faith to know if i let go and leave it to God all that is meant to happen will happen? Does this certainty come only after enlightenment?

    • @sukbhinderlalli2088
      @sukbhinderlalli2088 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

The certainty will come when you experience samadhi. In this state God appears as "I" and yet you also have an "I". So there is "I I". Having once experienced the profound enlightenment you would be foolish to not leave everything to the big boss and remain and continue to the effort of absorbtion in self or atman

In Day By Day with Bhagavan, in response to this question… “Are trifling acts in his life, such as taking a cup of water or moving from one place in the room to another, also predetermined?"
He replied “Yes, everything is predetermined” “not an atom moves except ny his Will”

    • @-kolaradajaan4268
      @-kolaradajaan4268 ปีที่แล้ว

I too am aware of this which leads to the understanding that there is no free will. Everything done by us is already determined and all good and bad actions by us are already decided. @SriRamanaTeachings, Please clarify.

@@-kolaradajaan4268 At the end of the day you can only rely on your own experience, and the true Guru is in your heart. He is the real you and directs all of your activities. Well what about the things that create suffering? Apparent negative activities that create suffering for the mind will be found to be the experiences that actually create the growth, these “mistakes” actually bring us closer to God and through them this lower mind/false self eventually surrenders to the higher mind/God.
Really I write most of these comments to point out the futility in doing such a deep intellectual dive into the teachings, as I’ve found that they actually lead the mind to more and more questions, confusion, and activity. Seeking to understand what the intellect cannot understand is great way to keep the imposter that is the lower mind alive and well. Very easy to get addicted to teachings, so there comes a point when they all need to be thrown away. I’ve found this to be the final obstacle in many ways, because when you’ve gotten deep enough on this path, you have lost the world and the guru and teachings is really all you have left. This can many times be the final hook. When you’ve become an “expert” on the teachings of someone else, that is not experience, therefore you will find no real answers from hat person. might as well seek advice from a parrot 🦜… Although it is a very respectable role to have in this great play, it is not conducive to realization of the truth of your being. Remember that all teachings are there only to satisfy the mind’s doubts so that it can finally surrender. Without love this surrender is not possible, because there will be too much doubt and fear. Finding the truth without love is not possible, so these intellectual discussions can never give the experience. Like studying the molecular structure of honey, in order to learn how it may taste. No, you need to taste the honey in order to know…
I can tell you all day long that it has been my experience that the lower mind/ego does nothing and can do nothing of its own volition, or that anything it seems to have done by its own volition only happened because it is permitted to happen (which equates to the same thing basically). But without your personal experience you mind will still doubt. No matter what, Michael James tells you, you will still doubt… The mind will never be satisfied, and at a certain point it is the seeking itself which keeps the illusion going.
The more you seek outwardly, the more you will find that Guru’s no matter how renowned have opinions that seem to contradict each other. Eventually, you’ll get tired out and fall into to silence. “Be still and know I Am God” is the only teaching you need if you can do it. Though the mind will continue to rebel until satisfied, so the seeking in circles will continue until tired out. It is really life experiences directed by the inner Guru that do the real work that dissolve or selfishness, anger, pride, lust, etc. All these things make up the false self, and when dissolved only the true Self remains. Which has always been there, just covered by the ego self. The teachings do give this process context which helps the mind trust, and to the degree that you can trust this inner guru, is to the degree that you can give up thought. In other words, when trust is complete, surrender is complete, and there is at that point no need to think abut what happened or may or may not happen etc. Fear is gone when trust is complete. Who AM I? Is Ramana pointing to this simple truth, pushing us out of identification with the false self, back to identification with the real Self. So really all of this intellectual BS is not needed. Either surrender completely (which cannot be done without complete trust), or do the inquiry which will continuously diminish the lower mind if followed until it is finally recognized to be not you, and the obstacle to peace. When not fed it will eventually dissipate, leaving only the higher mind.
      Hope this helps ❤️

This was an eye opener and so clear. Thankyou so much🙏
However, I do have a question on the actions done by our will. This accounts to Agami karma and fruits of this karma will be fulfilled in this same lifetime or a different life.?
In the example which you gave of wanting to be a doctor and Destiny also is being a doctor, the fruit of the will was fulfilled in this same lifetime.
Also, how and what actions caused by free will or vasanas to be done.?

    • @SriRamanaTeachings
      @SriRamanaTeachings  ปีที่แล้ว +3

No, what you suggest is not actually the case, though it may seem to be so. Bhagavan was extremely clear and unequivocal about this.
Whatever we experience in this life is our prārabdha (destiny or fate), which is a selection of fruit from our sañcita (the vast heap, pile or store of all the fruits of our past āgāmya karmas that we have not yet experienced) that God or guru has allotted for us to experience in this life. Therefore, though it seems to us that many of the actions (āgāmya karmas) we do in this life bear fruit immediately or after a while in this very life, that is not actually the case. Whatever fruit we experience in each life is the fruit of āgāmya we have done in past lives, and the fruit of whatever āgāmya we do in each life is added to sañcita and will not be experienced by us (if it is ever to be experienced at all) until some future life.
This is what he implied in the second, third and fourth sentences of the note that he wrote for his mother in December 1898:
      happinessofbeing.blogspot.com/2020/08/praising-or-disparaging-others-is.html#dec98note
      என்றும் நடவாதது என் முயற்சிக்கினும் நடவாது; நடப்ப தென்றடை செய்யினும் நில்லாது. இதுவே திண்ணம்.
eṉḏṟum naḍavādadu eṉ muyaṟcikkiṉum naḍavādu; naḍappadu eṉ taḍai seyyiṉum nillādu. iduvē tiṇṇam.
English translation: What will never happen will not happen whatever effort one makes [to make it happen]; what will happen will not stop whatever obstruction [or resistance] one does [to prevent it happening]. This indeed is certain.
Regarding the example that supposes that our prārabdha includes being a doctor, because that is part of our prārabdha, it cannot be avoided, so we will be made by God or guru to do whatever actions of mind, speech and body are necessary in order for us to experience this prārabdha, as Bhagavan implied in the first sentence of the abovesaid note:
      அவரவர் பிராரப்தப் பிரகாரம் அதற்கானவன் ஆங்காங்கிருந் தாட்டுவிப்பன்.
avar-avar prārabdha-p prakāram adaṟkāṉavaṉ āṅgāṅgu irundu āṭṭuvippaṉ.
English translation: According to their-their prārabdha, he who is for that being there-there will cause to dance [that is, according to the prārabdha of each individual, he who is for that (namely God or guru, who ordains their destiny) being in the heart of each of them will make them act].
However, though the actions required to become a doctor are actions that we are made to do by God, and are therefore his will, in most cases those same actions are also driven by our own will, because we also want to become a doctor. Our will and God’s will just happen to coincide.
However, to the extent that any action is driven by our will, whether or not it also happens to be driven by God’s will, it is an āgāmya and its fruit will therefore be added to our sañcita. Therefore, though our liking and effort (āgāmya) to become a doctor, for example, may seem to bear fruit in this very lifetime, our becoming a doctor in this life is actually the fruit of āgāmya we have done in previous lives, and the fruit of the āgāmya we do in this life will not be experienced by us till future lives.
Regarding your final question, 'how and what actions caused by free will or vasanas to be done?', I am sorry, I do not understand what you mean, but I hope that what I have explained above may help you to answer this part of your question for yourself. If not, please clarify what you meant to ask.

@@SriRamanaTeachings - Thankyou so much, for taking time to clarify my question. The second question was about, how to progress spiritually, to bear good fruit, we do some actions( agamya), which go into Sanchita right? How should those actions be performed? What are such Good actions? such as prayer, service, etc..? Which lead a seeker to realization.

@@Tvn143 This is a good question: i.e. what actions are beneficial for spiritual progress? This is addressed by Bhagavan in verse 3 of Upadēśa Undiyār:
      கருத்தனுக் காக்குநிட் காமிய கன்மங்
      கருத்தைத் திருத்தியஃ துந்தீபற
      கதிவழி காண்பிக்கு முந்தீபற.
      karuttaṉuk kākkuniṭ kāmiya kaṉmaṅ
      karuttait tiruttiyaḵ dundīpaṟa
      gativaṙi kāṇbikku mundīpaṟa.
      பதச்சேதம்: கருத்தனுக்கு ஆக்கும் நிட்காமிய கன்மம் கருத்தை திருத்தி, அஃது கதி வழி காண்பிக்கும்.
Padacchēdam (word-separation): karuttaṉukku ākkum niṭkāmiya kaṉmam karuttai tirutti, aḵdu gati vaṙi kāṇbikkum.
English translation: Desireless action done for God, purifying the mind, it will show the path to liberation.
Explanatory paraphrase: Niṣkāmya karma [action that is not motivated by selfish desires] done [with love] for God purifies the mind and [thereby] it will show the path to liberation [that is, it will enable one to recognise what the correct path to liberation is].
That is, only actions that are done (i) for the love of God, and (ii) without any expectation of fruits from those actions, purify the mind. Such a purified mind is now ripe to practice self-investigation, which leads to self-knowledge.
Now you may ask, 'Should I wait till my mind is purified before practicing self-investigation?' The answer is that one need not wait till complete purification of mind is achieved to practice self-investigation. If one has any interest in Bhagavan Ramana or self-investigation (for e.g. someone who is interested in a video of Bhagavan's teachings such as this), it means that this person's mind is sufficiently pure to start practicing self-investigation.
      Hope this answers your question.
