This ought to be a lesson to all the rock stars that complain about the questions they get. He takes each question seriously, on merit as if he's never heard it before, and his answers are delightful. Human, and illuminating and very funny, for all that. Self-important artists are a dime-a-dozen, this man's not just a true artist but a true professional - worth any number of them.
Interviewer: You don't have a girlfriend or? Jarvis: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, yeah. But she doesn't like me. I: Is she always with you on tour? J: Oh no, Oh no, touring and that would be terrible, I'd kill myself.
boring questions like this are easier to answer well than actually probing questions about the aesthetic concepts of Pulp, it is the old Brian Eno adage: "you'll often find artists find it easier to talk about their process than their art"
