    Quite useful. As an IT student, my advice for high schoolers is to take dual enrollment classes to take networking courses and few other IT courses so they build IT foundations. There is lot of grunt work involved before getting into higher entry level jobs. Going to take my Comptia Certs and Bachelors degree before going for cloud computing engineering.

    Always thought IT was the same as CS so I pursued CS for a few years and couldn't finish it because of how much I hated coding, which was a bummer because I'd always been fascinated with learning about new tech and how things worked. Finally looked into IT and have been learning the material for CompTia, which has been a blast for me. Wished I'd went the IT route from the start. Would've saved myself a lot of years of useless schooling.

    I have 3 IT CERTS but my location is bad for tech jobs so getting one in my location is super hard. Before you waste your time make sure there are plenty of jobs you can commute to.

    IT is a good career for a few kinds of people:
    1. have a useless degree.
    2. Can't do engineering or medicine.
    3. Have a passion for technology and nothing else.

    • @pranavpillai7981

      @@leej1759 Could be too. IT and the tech industry gives more opportunities than any other industry for work from home than any other field. Only caveat is you won't advance in your career.

    • @rubendelgado8432

      Are you suggesting it is for people with a current useless degree?

    • @pranavpillai7778
      @pranavpillai7778 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ruben. It can certainly be a good choice for those types. The tech industry is very hands on . You don’t need a degree but it most certainly gives you an edge if you have one. If you get stuck with a useless degree it often means going for more schooling without a guarantee of employment. If someone like that gets some minors, certifications, or licenses in a tech related area it can help them get out of their problems. I know many who have done this and have succeeded.
