Does the S0239 coax jack tighten from the inside or that nut on the outside? Mine is loose and can't budge the outside nut so maybe it's part of the jack itself? -- many thanks
Ok thanks. So if I see the nut outside, that's how it's tightened -- having a hard time turning it because of it being recessed like it is.@@dxradioshop
It is mentioned a few times in the video that the replacement resistor is a 30W one but the value is never given (or at least I missed it). According to the service manual this is R2213 and its value is 8.2ohm. Is that correct?
Yes that is correct on the value of the resistor. It was an engineering defect from the get go. For aby questions you can call if you want? Shop: 315-573-9205 Cell: 315-945-1600
@DX RADIO SHOP thank you, I just got an 840, and I am going to have fun with it. It needs some attention, and your video is a good suggestion for an extra thing to check.
If you need any assistance don't hesitate to call me and I will gladly help you out over the phone of you want to fix it yourself. If you would like to send it here that would be fine too. Either way I can help you if needed, thanks

Depending on which version, it could be nutted down on outside or flanged with 2 screws from outside. Either way, it's easy to replace if needed.
