Awesome video! Ive been using gear since 2000. Starting out a lot of it was bought second hand on a budget. Often times with no manual. This was pre TH-cam, so no videos to look up how to use it. You just had to figure the shit out. Oh, the memories 😂

Damn bro, that must have been gnarly! When I get frustrated lately I take a moment to breathe and be thankful for all the resources out there, lol

I can remember pre-youtube and google and they were much more hardcore times, especially if you were interested in something that your friends weren't. A lot of knowledge was shared socially so if you were the only one doing it, it sucked haha

Ooh nice! The S-1 is definitely my favourite Aira Compact... the T-8 is cool too. I don't care for the others (tbf I haven't tried the E-4!)

Dope, I can see some potential in in even for slower stuff after making this video. Looking forward to learning more about it

Had this synth for a while and absolutely love it. it's very versatile and creates a really impressive sound for it's build/price point. Recording sequences can be a bit tricky, navigating through options by holding shift and modifying parameters unlocks a lot of features but there are plenty hidden behind the hard to navigate menu

Thanks for the heads-up. Have a feeling there is a long ways to go with learning this device, but that was a fun start today!

I loved this device. I bought two. I tricked them out and then sold them. 😢. I might buy another one.

Nice, I can see it being tons of fun paired up with some other gear

I love the clarity of it. This and the XT as the midi master would be great.

It sounds incredible for the size. I was kind of expecting it to sound good as the J6 sounds good too, but yeah, really impressed with it!

I love this synth for the price honestly. I just copped a bunch of synths on the MPC but I wanted one of these for super portable fun synthing haha.
Caught the the Boards Of Canada mention, too. My favorite musicians of all time probably haha

Would love to see some P-6 vids from you. It’s a no brainer. Although other YT channels are featuring the P-6, I think you have a unique perspective to comment about it. So let’s see some P-6 vids. Thanks for everything. Love your channel.

Appreciate that! I will hopefully be the proud owner of one very soon. I hope to do plenty of videos with it 👌

I own it and think it’s such an amazing device with amazing sound! Over 20 years ago I purchased a JP8000 for about £1000 and this not only sounds just as good, if not better, but it takes up sooooo much less space. If you’re not buying this, what are you doing?. Maybe pair this with the Circuit Rhythm like I did

Unsolicited advice, if you want to learn chords, learn scales! Please! They will genuinely help you so much in so many different facets of music making. Just watch a video about how to learn/practice them.
But basically, scales hold the notes of chords within them, so learning the scales helps you memorize chords! Sounds obvious, but a lot of peope struggle with this. Anyways, thanks for all the support over the years!

I do have some knowledge of chords and scales from guitar, but never really gotten around to transferring it across to a piano layout - been told many times 'its easy' but there we go! I will have to sit down and spend some time learning at some point! Thanks 🙏

@@spvidzLet's set up a Zoom piano/theory lesson man! Haha for real. I teach piano for a living. I started with beats/rap and got into piano then ended up taking off with piano but I always learned for the purpose of making better beats, so I have a lot of methods that work for beat makers. By the way I didn't even commit to piano until age 26 and there are many benefits for starting later.
