For me, I watched "Stranger Things" b/c of the hype but MAINLY b/c online Netflix sucks in terms of stuff I want to watch. I canceled it after watching "ST" season 2 and started Netflix DVD only.

Mrs. Patronus At the time Barb died she got a bit of a cult following. Perhaps they’re trying to play into that.
She was really just a secondary character. Her character became a meme because at the finale of Season 1 she was shown dead and stuffed with alien tentacle in her mouth but she was left behind and nobody seems to remember her at the end.
