I already backed the base offering and am excited for it. I was actually hesitant about this (I really wanted a TVC Havoc Marauder w/Bad Batch) but seeing the official reveal got me hyped and I hope all the unlocks are reached. I do cherrypick BS already and I'm thinking of minimizing my purchasing there even more to just Clone/Stormtroopers, some battle droids, and the occasional bounty hunter. As frustrating as TVC can be with its lack of several characters, getting world building pieces like this Cantina and the Throne Room or ships like the Ghost and E-Wing is really cool.
It is a very cool component of collecting TVC. Just an option Hasbro doesn't seem willing to explore much these days with the Black Series line. I'm sure all the tiers will fund for it!
It needs a little more work, but I'm so in. Too many cups means that we can simply exceed the maximum occupancy for this bar. What's the worst that could happen? Other figures we may soon see from the Cantina are found in the newest episode of Today's Special th-cam.com/video/bRWMeqWDZR4/w-d-xo.html. Thank You and Enjoy!🤩
Great work with this playset. Plenty of details and looks pretty good IMO. If I could've added anything to this, it would have been small led lights, magnetic surfaces for the tables and bar so the cups don't get knocked over and lost, and yes, a floor with maybe some pegs for figures and somewhere to port the chairs and tables into. I only collect Black Series but I am envious at the vehicles and playsets the vintage collection gets.
It's weird that a $500 offering doesn't have some basic LED lighting. I wish we could get a fraction of these TVC vehicles and playsets for the Black Series.
This would have been my dream come true ten years ago when I was still collecting Star Wars figures in the 1/18 scale. The Cantina is my favorite location and scene in the entire Star Wars saga. This set looks amazing and I love the figures they included. But... I'm not a TVC collector anymore and I won't back this. I wish, though, they offered a single one of the modular alcoves. I would buy that to display my TVC Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes figures.
I wonder if folks would parcel off some of the alcoves once they realize they don't have the space for it they assumed? Maybe there's still hope? And thanks for reminding me of Figrin D'an and crew!
For $500 I think they could include a set of loose figures. TVC collectors love to have their unopened figures. If you don't open these exclusive to Haslab figures, you don't have anyone to put in there.
Is it worth it? Who knows? All i know is that by the time the Cantina is released people will pay almost double for it on the secondary market. Happened with every single TVC Haslab. Don't sleep!
Regarding the point you made about someone bumping into a table and moving your setup, I think the ideal solution would have been to make the pieces and floor magnetic, but obviously, that would increase the cost.

It's definitely not worth 399.99 . I believe Hasbro has gotten away with strep prices on all of these projects . I own 2 of them , soon to be 3 when Giant Man arrives . I'm sick of crowd funding. Especially when you look at some of the GI Joe vehicles that get sold on Hasbro Pulse . That Jeep made me kind of angry . When you look at what they tried to charge for the Engine of Vengeance , what they charged for some of the vehicles for GIJoe Haslabs . People should be upset .
I still don't understand what their thinking was with that EOV price point. I remember thinking how happy I was with the pricing for the VAMP. So much better than I expected. I think some of the pricing gets dicey with the licenses Hasbro pays for compared to their own. The Joe and TF ones always seem priced better.
I also agree with you about second hand suppliers . Someone will get the best views of the floor in the Cantina in A New Hope and start selling them for $50 or more . $50 for a chunk of plastic that will fit everything probably 36( a yard ) by 24 .
Whats up with those tonnika sisters hair? That cultural appropriation. Lol, JK. I am so stoked this got funded. I really only funded it for the figures. I almost bought custom tonnika sisters on ebay a few years back. Pretty sure they went for over $200. The fact that we getting 5 figures has made it worth it for me. Reall wish we got that werewolf guy. Hope they release him anyway
@@LylesFigureFiles If my math is correct, 6 inch are 50% bigger than 3.75 inch (using 4 inch as the actual scale). The price of this is already kinda high. Assuming a proportional increase in price, that's a lot of money for black series scaled cantina. (I could be wrong about this as I don't know how scaling and price works in toys)
No. Nowhere near worth it. Not even if it was 6" Scale. Compare what you get for $500 to the Ghost and its a massive difference. Another way to look at it is its $100 for the extra booths and seats. So if you took out the $100 set of booths and seats that comes in the $400 base set, then you're looking at $300 for the bar and entry piece, which is clearly not worth it. Its debatable if the booths and seats are worth $100 too, it doesn't look like much more than the Tantive playset which was much cheaper. Why no floor? And where is the band supposed to go? Jabba'/Boba Fett's Throne Room is on sale for $150 right now if you're a pulse premium member.

It looks great, but a bit high on the price, happy for vintage collectors, those ladies have to be too old to be a legal threat.
LOL. Yeah, the Vintage Collectors are making out pretty well with these last few HasLabs!
579,99€ in Europe
imagine the price in space... astronomical! D
Goodness! That is a hefty price for international customers.
I like it
Yeah, it's pretty solid!
I feel bad for folks who wanted werewolf guy too!
Looks great. I'm impresaed but I don't collect vintage SW. So I thank Hasbro for saving me money.
I wish they could do both -- vintage and BS for HasLabs. Just space them out some.
I wish they would’ve added an Ackmena (Bea Arthur) figure as a super tier. It would’ve been nice to put the Modal Knodes in the photos.
She would have made a fun tier addition.
Hello Jeffrey. Might be a fairish price for a Black Series Cantina. But this is Vintage scale. Same old Hasbro, over reaching.
What was The Ghost? That wasn't cheap either so I guess Hasbro thinks, probably rightly, that the TVC collectors will go for it.
I keep wondering what stopped them from including a floor with it since it's something that would kind of tie the entire set together.
For the same price you could buy a good 3D printer and just print one!!!!!
I wonder what 3D printer artists would do with this set up.
Pass
Nope. I’m not buying.
Me either
More money for Joes
I dont collect star wars 😂
LOL
