  • Here's a setting available to be applied to any pen in EzCad2. It's called wobble and it follows a spiral pattern based on user input dimensions.

Wobble is a very good option and you will need for 3 reasons:
    1) make letters line bigger because laser beam is 0,001mm , so if you need more bold text or all you want.
2)you need for cutting, 1mm of size is ok, laser beam is too little for cutting, will weld again in the second pass, so wider line will leave exit sublimate material without problems.
    3) you need for welding with laser, put together 2 plates and use wide wobble size (around 3mm) and give hi power and you will weld 2 materials, plastic too. For metals more power you have, more material you can weld. professional laser welding are 300w\500w for wobble use, but with 50w fibra I can weld too little projects, jewellery items too.

    Hello,
Thank you so much for your videos, I really appreciate.
I am cutting gold jewelry with 50 w laser machine I have, and when it comes to gold to really have to very careful to not waste any of it because of burning, my question is when I am using default cutting ( wooble is deactivated) what diameter laser line hit the spot that I want to cut,I am looking for the smallist possible to cut with no waste of gold.
    Thank you again .

The wobble settings is used for cutting Metal substrate and making lines thicker not for making designs but you can do that as well.

Right, people for 99% are playing with laser and don't know a lot about potentiality.
Yes wobble is used for cutting because the laser beam is too little to engrave deep material because the heating will weld again in the second pass, so will be a dirty engraving, wobble will build a wider line to cut where the sublimate material have enough space for exit.
I use 50w MAX laser, and I cut easy 1cm too of materials, but remember to re adjust focus in time manually with the wheel if you don't have automatic focus hardware in your laser head.
Wooble setting size will be good between 0.5mm to 1mm to do a good job.

I haven't marked on fabrics, but it might work on something synthetic. In general the organic materials aren't so great with fiber; more of a co2 application. Sounds like you'll be up and running this week - that's great!

Based on this, it looks like Kerf = wobble distance divided by 2. I need to cut metal but need the shapes to be cut accurately

    Hi Jeffery,
    Just stumbled across your channel!
I couldn't help but notice at 3.10 it looks like you have a sheet of stainless that you've been testing colour marking on?
I too have a 20w fiber laser with a Raycus laser source. I was just wondering what laser source you had?

Anyone know how to record the prefect circle? I use the circle tool but when I record it I don't have any prefect. I need urgent help, since I spent a lot of money on my machine and I still haven't been able to use it. :(

I've shown a video of pretty much every material I've tried to mark. I think the settings are mentioned in almost all of the earlier videos. They won't be exact as every laser is a little different, but they should provide a good starting point. Is there something specific you're trying to mark?
