How to make Custom Chip Bags

- Hello you all! Thanks for tuning in. Here is the design process of how I create my custom chip bags. These bags are great to have at parties, events, etc.

Wowww!! You saved me! I have an event I am performing at on 8/7th and needed items to fill my merch table. I wanted to do chip bags and wasn't sure I could tie them into my budget because I've paid to have them made before and they can be costly. I found this video, followed all your steps and boom! I have my custom made chip bags. Thanks for saving me money not just for my event but for all of my daughter's birthdays!!!

Hi Ms. Doctor, when I click on the link for the chip bag it shows up, says 'create your own' but when I click on it, Canva opens it says untitled and it's a blank template. I can only save the chip template file as web page. Curious what am I missing or doing incorrectly? Thank you.

Hey, wanted to know what printer do you use for chip bags and juices I seen you mentioned a few in the description box just wanted to know which one is the best for the better price thanks so much I appreciate your time .
I have the HP even 5150 but they no longer sell that model .. I included the upgraded model in the description.. the printer is great especially if you want to save money on ink .. it’s very cost efficient

You’re welcome you can put in a Custom size or type in letter size so it can give you the standard size of your paper

Hello, all materials I use for my video are linked in the description. You have the choice of using matte paper or glossy paper. I've listed both options in the description
I think you have the best step by step but I am not really computer savvy when you use Canva and creating the chip bag do you make it as a poster?
Thank you. When you use canva you can make it the size of the paper you got so if your paper is 8x11.5 inches then you put that on canva and go from there . I have a step by step on the canva tutorial that I will be uploading soon

Hello thanks for uploading this!! A lot of people are charging for a class like this! Just a question is the paper a regular 8x11x? And what kind of paper? I’m not sure if I missed it
You can use regular paper but I would suggest using brochure paper .. especially paper with gloss to it . I list all my products in the description of the video.. the paper I had was 8.5 x 11 😄
This probably sounds like a dumb question, but how do you open up the bag when it’s time to enjoy it?
Like a regular bag of chips/ treats
Rip off the top and pull out the chip
you open it like a regular bag of chips.

Can somebody help me out..what happens when you open the bag does it the other bag have to open after open the first one or?..I'm confused or does it seal with the other and it opens as one bag? ..hope someone who did this can respond thx
I have an HP Deskjet printer and the koala paper, and the black ink is smudging after it’s been printed. It rubs off on my hand. Have you ever experienced this?
This is so amazing! I would like to know if its possible to put the chips itself in the customized chip bag without the cover/bag of the actual chips? Like when they open the customized chip bag they instantly the food and not another chip bag. If u understand what i mean 😂😭
Honestly, it's possible to do that. I have friends that sometimes put unwrapped items in the custom packaging. It's whatever you decide.

How would you seal the bag if you remove the chips from its original bag...would the oil from chips not come through the paper yuu printed on? I'm keen to know if anyone has done this... I don't like the idea of guests opening chips and then opening the original packet underneath... Same with chocolate
You could do a cut and print sticker on circuit if you have one
Is it supposed to smear off the paper? I had clicked on the paper but it said they where out of it so it recommended other ones and I ordered them but the ink smears off. Should I go back and see if they have the same kind you got? Same thing with the printer they where out of the ones in the link so I just got the next recommended one. It’s still the same brand you got.
It's best to do this with a Laser printer ink jet will smear

Is this a special kind of a paper you printing on? Will normal printed paper not break at the folds etc

can i pour the chips into the bag i make or is it better to keep them in the original package ?
some people pour them into the custom bag and some put a bag inside the custom package. I feel like it's a personal choice. Because of covid I just put the bag inside of the custom package so no one would feel any type of way.

I have a question so when I download the canva which program do I select for making the chip wrap bags and it’s fit my daughter sweet 16 I’m tryna to save me because this is a bit much doing it alone but I want her happy but to get back on track I have downloaded the canva but I don’t know which program to select for customizing the bags. Hey ! Thanks for watching this tutorial. For a custom chip bag you can set a custom template for 8.5 x 11 and canva have different designs you can add to your chip bag or you can add your own designs by uploading your own images.
