Excellent video. To get around breaking the glass when you are trying to get the tube into the bottle. My suggestions: Stop the copper tubing a few inches from the hole in the bottle and run clear plastic tubing from the copper tube into the bottle. Not sure what size clear tubing you would use but you should match it up in the store when you purchase it. To make the seal water tight coming out of the copper pipe you should probable use a silicone based product. . Also a dremel drill with a glass grinding bit to adjust the hole. Also you can use a rubber grommet on the glass to protect it.

@@tandiparent1949 ..I dont really have a youtube channel dealing with this type of thing...I worked doing glass work for awhile and other jobs that had me using tools and just know how I would do it..Thanks for reading my ideas...It should conceptually work..Or not..:-)

Also recommend distilled water with your project to prevent calcium and lime build up.

This is superb idea of reusing a bottle.

You could also make a bottle mold for coiling tubing...fill same size bottle with Quik-crete or something. If outer glass breaks, you still have the bottle shape to wrap it around, just allow for glass thickness or pad the cement bottle before coiling. 😀👍🏼

an alternative to making the hole in the wine bottle bigger might be to pre bend the copper tube to the preferred angle then slide it into place. will probably give the same effect plus less drilling the glass/less risk of breaking it

So COOL! Great for an outside patio bar! I want one- though it looks hard to make 😥! The only thing: I would use a proper wine glass if possible!? 🍷🍷🍷🍷Break the bottle? OOPS! Better go to Bev-MO and buy a case, finish drinking another... and another... and another...😁

Great video! One thing I've learned is to immediately rinse the bottle so the glass dust doesn't cake on the inside of the bottle. This is especially important it you are using a lighter colored or clear bottle.

Next time you could fill the copper tube with sand, no kinking, easier bending. Nice project though.

I would drill a hole in the bottom of the glass so it only gets so full and doesn't overflow... I think that would look cooler

You could have used a clear bottom wine glass and glue the led light under the wine glass.

If you started cutting the hole with the correct technique in the first place you would have had a better angled cut than doing two different cuts. For other viewers, go research cutting holes in glass/tiles first before attempting this

Maybe use some red die to look like red wine . Very cool
I'm starting on a larger version out side . Using a sump pump crock and a larger pump . Not sure of my deign yet but for and indoor or patio fountain that looks too cool
I use a piece of pics pipe to bend mu tubing . Works great
Thanks for your time in sharing your great idea

Doesn't work, not sure what copper he is using but my copper doesn't bend that easily. I wouldn't waste my time. If you want to get frustrated and keep breaking bottler have at it. Waste of time for me.
