Instead of prying open the plastic battery housing, it is better to use Petrol to wet the joints, wait for 5 minutes to loosen the glue and then open it with a prying tool or screw driver easily without any scuff marks.

Changed first laptop battery lasted 4 years original cost 4400.
Bought local battery cost 1800 lasted 6 months.. Thought of buying new original battery but after watching this video its better to save.. And buy cells.. 😉

@@GurbaniGyandhara Toshiba stopped selling laptops in India. You can't find original its impossible. And duplicate will work for 6 months only. I had bought duplicate from flipcart and Amazon it worked only for 5-6 months. So now I am using as Desktop. Just shut down when not in use. And use with inverter connection.

I have tried for lenevo battery..only. Battery one is zero volt so I have replaced one cell now showing 13.45 DC volt but when I install in laptop stil showing not in plung and need to replace bettery showing this notification..please help what to do

This is very nice knowledge sharing. Technically it looks very much correct. After opening it is series of Lth. Batteries which need to be checked. I have one question do all laptop batteries should have volTage >2.0 or it is laptop specific. After one complete recharge, how long laptop can work. I hd seen few laptops which can work for 5+ hours in single charge. Thanks for the video

*2+ voltage* for all lithium batteries
Single Lithium ion battery cell have 3.4 Volt and if you're battery is showing anything less than 3V means the battery will not work.
It has nothing to do with laptop specs.
The nominal output voltage of Type 18500 lithium ion cell is 3.7V. Depending upon the number cells the laptop battery unit may have 10.8 V(3S), 14.8V (4S)or 18.5 V (5S).If you are getting less than this the problem could one or 2 cells are either dead (less than 2 V per cell) or charging protection circuit is not working. You can try to revive the dead ones by slow or start stop charge until the voltage is 3.7 V.
You can also replace them with same mAh capacity cells. If you are using new lower capacity cell life per recharge will be less. Another important thing is there is useful life cycle for these batteries ( approx 800 to 1000 recharges beyond which the performance will not guaranteed)
when you achieve the proper voltage required for the laptop to run as specified ...it will run... the reason they are connected in series is to provide more voltage

This method will not work on branded batteries. This method may work on cheap local assembled batteries. To replace the li-ion batteries, one needs to know the exact capacity, such as the mAH value. All li-ion batteries should be of same specs. If incorrect ones are used then the fuse on the circuit will blow and that will lock the laptop battery, it wont be recognised by the laptop anymore. Secondly, whenever cell replacement is done, the onboard micro controller locks the battery. This is a safety feature used by branded manufacturers. Best not to try this method unless you know exact configuration of the inside li-ion batteries. Even then there are chances that the onboard controller will not allow usage.

The total charge and discharge cycle is preloaded on the chip. Once the battery reaches that cycle count, the battery stops performing well. In this case, even if you replace the cells, the performance and output will be the same because the cycle count was not reset on the chip. This is done by the companies so that you can't repair the battery and instead purchase a new one. But still, there are computer softwares available that can be used to reset the chip on the battery. Many Laptop batteries don't allow to replace any cell due to BMS. Please give suggestion to prevent BMS lock during repair.
BMS protection is used for charging protection. Once the battery attaining required charge, there is no way left allowing or disallowing.... However safety precautions to be taken while opening/dismantling, so that BMS protection pcb does not hurt anyway.... 👍

Whenever I connect My Charger To Laptop, It gives me continues Kat Kat Noise like. Laptop works Normal but whenever the adopter is connected it gives continues Kat Kat Noise. Note : it is the same noise which comes whenever Charger is connected. But it comes for just one time. But now it's coming continuesly.
What would be the issue ?
That seems to be the cooling fan noise which slightly touches the body.

Laptop batteries commonly have four 3.6V Li-ion cells in series to achieve a nominal voltage 14.4V and two in parallel to boost the capacity from 2,400mAh to 4,800mAh

Dont try in dell because when you disconnect any cell the cmos of bms, programming wash out and after repairing battery does not work.

If you break the connections of the laptop battery then the BMS of the battery will shut down and even after repairing the battery will not work. I also tried to repair my battery but my batteries's BMS got shut down and the battery did not work even after repairing. I advice all not to try this.

I repaired more than 40 batteries and all worked fine i didn't find any issue from costumer
