It's not. Take a close look at the grill. It is the dogs mouth with teeth. The red that looks like it could be a windshield is suppose to be a dog collar. It's based on a Bulldog.

@@aestevalis0 I'm pretty sure Spike's teeth are not located in his rear. Look at the cars hillshot and at the front grill. Those are two lower fangs as part of the grill.
Maybe the car was designed by William S. Burroughs.

It's not like I work with extreme closeups of that car, or slow it down to 6fps while it flips through the air. Oh wait . . .
