As for the constant changing of official message and their approach with presenting it; I believe it is "Surviving Paradise" that has a Podcast that discusses the recent "Dumbing Down" of JWs over the years. It is very accurate and relatable(especially to those who have a history that goes back beyond the 21st Century).
My getting disfellowshipped even though I was absolutely crushed by my sin is what started us on the path to waking up. I remember I was still so pimi after that meeting I didn't appeal since I thought I deserved it and sent them a letter thanking them for loving me enough to do the hard thing. Even though reinstated and not dfd again my wife and I both faded. Now I have letters ready for them thanking them for disfellowshipping me because it caused me to wake up. Also, I gave blood assholes.i wonder how much better they would be doing without their harsh, wicked policies.

So many ideologies encourage mankind to be hard on ourselves. Whenever you demand perfection, you start cooking up schemes to make humans not really human anymore, attempting to change our nature from that of humans to that of angels. But it never works in practice, it just ends up making life miserable for the actual humans the ideology is imposed upon in real life. We need to cut mankind some slack, we are apes after all. mental health issues seem common among JWs, or exacerbated at least. My 2nd oldest sister is "bat shit crazy" accoring to my older sister, a psychologist. Most of the people i know who've left the religion were later diagnosed with one issue or another.
I'm only 7 minutes in, but it looks like this change of "if these people didn't get sufficient witness how can they be punished?" language is to set up a change about today in how 7 million JWs can't sufficiently witness to 8 billion people, so that it's now no longer needed to preach as much.

My only justice is sharing my story and hoping to save some of you from becoming a JW (or staying in the cult). I was a child when a JW and another family friend (two separate incidents) molested me. The JW elders held a meeting but did not call the police, and the male perp did not go to court or jail. He was disfellowshipped. The other person was a friend of my JW family, and no cops were called in that situation. Years later, the first male rapist went on to molest other JW children, and the elders covered it up. I have received no justice, no mental health paid for by JW rich corporation (Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society). In fact, I am punished, my family hates me, and although I grew up with many JWs, they don't deal with me because I never got baptized, and I speak up about the abuse. For this and many other reasons (including genocide, wars, slavery, and other history) I don't do religion. Some of you will defend religion. First, go stop your killers, pedophiles, rapists, and murderers before you try to get victims such as myself to possibly consider even talking to you about religion! Until then, go clean the house or keep quiet. PS: I also survived physical abuse and mental and emotional abuse as a child of Jehovah's Witnesses. Their history: Charles Taze Russel (who was a Millerite who then created Dawn Bible Students, etc.) and later JF Rutherford (a lawyer) created Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (in Brooklyn, NY). Both men were probably Free Masons, and Charles had issues with his wife, but that was covered up. Charles predicted the end of the world, but it never happened. Some JWs left. JWs used to celebrate Xmas and had a large Christmas tree at their headquarters in Brooklyn for many years. They also (even after Charles' false prediction) predicted the end of the world, and in the 1970's I remember they used to tell young JWs not to go to college because the end of the world was coming. PS They are also a white supremacist and didn't take black people originally into the congregations until, like Mormons, they needed the increase in membership. Australian govt also found JWs guilty of child abuse. Also see how they treated Brother Franz (a once high-ranking JW who started to see their lies.)

I remember when i was a child and didn't understand who's gonna be resurrected and who not and different people at a different age gave me conflicting answers from anyone will get resurrected to only those who believed in Jehovah or got baptized to everyone Jehovah thinks has a good heart no matter if they is a JW or not. This was the first indicator that there's something wrong here and now i understand how this happened, they just all had different lights and missed some updates and light drops. The cult is mostly made up of long term old school members who were born in or been in for so long they dont know any diffefent. Or they just go to socialize with long time friends. My parents are still in, but at this point I dont miss them. They pretty much destroyed the 1st part of my life...now after somewhat recovering my life, I really have no natural affection towards them or really anyone (how ironic) and I struggle with attaching to other people. After being raised and indoctrinated that worldly people are all wicked, hateful people and cannot be friendly. As an ex-Catholic I’ve found so many similarities with ex-Mormons in particular but I didn’t think I would find something in common with JWs as this whole talk reminded me of when the Catholic Church used to teach that babies without baptism and those who completed su1c1de went straight to hell but now they just say that “they don’t know”, funny how organizations that claim to have absolute and unchanging answers seem to change their mind when it becomes too inconvenient not to do so.
I don't think anyone doesn't return to the JWs because of anxiety over being forgiven. There are way too many publications, plus the story of Saul, that would imply there is nothing so bad. Everybody knows exactly what the path back is. Go to the meetings for about 9 months to a year and that's it. You can't speak, participate, go in service, just sit in a chair for a year. That's it. No, people don't return because once your head falls out of your ass, you just can't shove it back in.

My only justice is sharing my story and hoping to save some of you from becoming a JW (or staying in the cult).
I was a child when a JW and another family friend (two separate incidents) molested me. The JW elders held a meeting but did not call the police, and the male perp did not go to court or jail. He was disfellowshipped. The other person was a friend of my JW family, and no cops were called in that situation. Years later, the first male rapist went on to molest other JW children, and the elders covered it up.
I have received no justice, no mental health paid for by JW rich corporation (Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society). In fact, I am punished, my family hates me, and although I grew up with many JWs, they don't deal with me because I never got baptized, and I speak up about the abuse. For this and many other reasons (including genocide, wars, slavery, and other history) I don't do religion.
Some of you will defend religion. First, go stop your killers, pedophiles, rapists, and murderers before you try to get victims such as myself to possibly consider even talking to you about religion! Until then, go clean the house or keep quiet. PS: I also survived physical abuse and mental and emotional abuse as a child of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Their history: Charles Taze Russel (who was a Millerite who then created Dawn Bible Students, etc.) and later JF Rutherford (a lawyer) created Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (in Brooklyn, NY). Both men were probably Free Masons, and Charles had issues with his wife, but that was covered up. Charles predicted the end of the world, but it never happened. Some JWs left. PS They are also a white supremacist and didn't take black people originally into the congregations until, like Mormons, they needed the increase in membership. Australian govt also found JWs guilty of child abuse. Also see how they treated Brother Franz (a once high-ranking JW who started to see their lies.)

I remember when i was a child and didn't understand who's gonna be resurrected and who not and different people at a different age gave me conflicting answers from anyone will get resurrected to only those who believed in Jehovah or got baptized to everyone Jehovah thinks has a good heart no matter if they is a JW or not.

The cult is mostly made up of long term old school members who were born in or been in for so long they dont know any diffefent. Or they just go to socialize with long time friends. My parents are still in, but at this point I dont miss them. They pretty much destroyed the 1st part of my life...now after somewhat recovering my life, I really have no natural affection towards them or really anyone (how ironic) and I struggle with attaching to other people. After being raised and indoctrinated that worldly people are all wicked, hateful people and cannot be friendly. As an ex-Catholic I’ve found so many similarities with ex-Mormons in particular but I didn’t think I would find something in common with JWs as this whole talk reminded me of when the Catholic Church used to teach that babies without baptism and those who completed su1c1de went straight to hell but now they just say that “they don’t know”, funny how organizations that claim to have absolute and unchanging answers seem to change their mind when it becomes too inconvenient not to do so.

I don't think anyone doesn't return to the JWs because of anxiety over being forgiven. There are way too many publications, plus the story of Saul, that would imply there is nothing so bad. Everybody knows exactly what the path back is. Go to the meetings for about 9 months to a year and that's it. You can't speak, participate, go in service, just sit in a chair for a year. That's it. No, people don't return because once your head falls out of your ass, you just can't shove it back in.
